Let's see here.....you had Bill Cosby, Morgan Freeman, and Rita Moreno doing a kid's show. No wonder it was so good. Brought back some great memories.
@danleafboy I concur...BUT as an educator I am GLAD SOOOO GLAD that the Electric Company is BACK on the air...I like the new one...not as much as the old one...but I like it...it still covers the concepts that need to be covered.

@Joebycool..Joeby...I'll be 47 in June. I'm not a Grandpa...yet... and I assure you Nintendo game systems were not around when this show hit the PBS airwaves...my point was...if you'll look at my initial comment below is that shows like this don't interest today's youth while playing video games do...capice?
@Joebycool Well that's good to hear.I gues when I'm talking about today's youth, I'm actually talking more about younger kids say in the 6 to 10 year old range. I'd say you're past that demographic to say the least. This particular TV series was a big part of my early childhood educational process, as well as many others in my generation. We didn't have the resources back then that today's generation has been blessed with. Seeing this takes me back to simpler times.
I sit today with my 2-year-old, doubting she gets it all, but she'll have some obscure references to share with her college roomies of how completely dorky her father is.
WOW o WOW this is great...I wonder if you could get all the seasons ever made on DVD now? Does anyone know? I soooooo would buy it!!! Heck I'm almost 34yrs old and I used to watch this growing up as a kid in the late 70's early 80's...such great memories indeed...lol
Contrary to those upbeat lyrics, the Electric Company will not be bringing you the power.

I love how Bill Cosby couldn't keep the rhythm even in his youth.

I'm really glad you posted this.
It would've been lost forever.

And I'll have some nice memories...

I used to like it when after the theme was over, someone would light a match indicating the episode number of the show.
