This season failed because it lacked fight scenes in the other season the turtles would fight up to like 200 foot soldiers in here they had to fight like 15 and get tired. Also it needed waaaaay more villains.

Cool villains like the Stone Warrios, the Triceratons, Tempestra, Slash, Tokka and Rahzar, Leatherhead etc. and more Krang's Android.

And a lot of cool guys who ceased to appear Like Casey Jones, the Punk Frogs, Mondo Gecko and Ray Fillet.

Also, after about the 4th or 5th season, the Ninja Turtles must have went to cable because I don't remember ever seeing any of the episodes starting from like season 4 or 5 on t.v. Back then I just assumed that the Ninja Turtles got cancelled.

I remember when I was a little kid, Ninja Turtles used to be on Fox.

If I recall correctly, around the age of 9, Ninja Turtles got moved to USA network as part of the USA Cartoon Express they used to have.

After that, I remember it being on CBS and it had this intro.

Hell, I remember as a kid, you could find action cartoons on just about any channel [such as Fox, CBS, TNT, TBS and USA], now you see 90% of them on either just Disney, Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network.

this theme and the first 87 theme are the best TMNT themes.

The theme songs of the 87 show are better than all the theme songs of the 03 cartoon and it's follow ups.

Of the 03 cartoon, I'd have to say the Back to the Sewer theme was the best, but it's still not as good as this one.

My favorite thing about this intro is how it shows clips from the movies. No other cartoon show [that had a live action movie adaptation] I've ever watched has done that.

Oh man, this is where the show just lost it. They tried to incorporate things from the Show, some sidekick, and their mutations were out of control. When I was a kid all I saw was like the first 3 seasons and just a few new episodes, like the one with slash and some special movie/episode that had a weird alien moster. But fuck, they messed it up bad in the later seasons.

Shredder was in season 8, the first Red Sky Season.

And while the Red Sky seasons were meant to compete with Batman TAS (as well as bringing it closer to the original comic turtles) the permenently red sky look was on the turtles first.

Dini is a TMNT fan and the the DCAU has strangley enough been influenced by both TMNT shows.

After seeing the "fanboy-reviled" "Red Sky" intro 4 the first time in over 10 years, I finally remembered why this show sucks! The comical theme song and total asshole Turtles were just fine 4 the fanboys, but as soon as they decided to turn the show up a notch and make it interesting to people other than fanboys, the aforementioned fanboys start complaining. Then, mysteriously, the suck ass show disappears from the airwaves. Song still sucks no matter how it gets remixed, just 4 the record!

Hell yeah. I remember this being the LAST cartoon I actually woke up for on Saturday mornings. I think I was going into high school when this version showed up. I liked it because this was the "dark" season of the show when the turtles' popularity was on the decline which means it allowed for more serious stories to be told while the kiddies watched Power Rangers.

months later? Shredder returns ("zomg! how?!!")

The Foot resurrected Shredder by combining Ancient Chinese Magic with Modern Technology

Shredder fights turtles in final battle: loses, and the turtles cremate his body so that he can't be resurrected again.

The first season stayed pretty accurate to the encounters & all, but then they said "why wont he die? cuz he's an alien! =)"
