What a delight it was to watch these amazing youngeters dance as we tuned in to watch our friend, Mary Jo Pierce, who was also a super talent, perform and win Teen Vocalist of the Year at the same time that these kids won the Teen Dancers category. I wrote four of the songs that Mary Jo did on Star Search, and have been told that I hold the all-time record for having written the most original songs performed by anyone on Star Search. I came here to look for them because I came across a tape I have of a Starsearch special and it has stars from the show of the past 4 yrs since the show started. When they are introduced It states they are the current 1987 Jr Dance Champions and their age as 10 and 11. It shows them do a small short dance to "Walk LIke an Egyptian" and later a full dance to I believe "Give it Up"

i wanted to be keesha when i was a kid. i used to practice with my old neighbor melissa she used to be heinz and i was keesha and we did all the moves where shed lift me up twirl me around and everything. lmao

Heinz owns the company I work for. He's still a great dancer and a Hell of a guy!! He's never worn that outfit to work, though. He teaches ballroom dancing at schools, churches, etc. on a volunteer level.. He brought the Star Search DVD to work one time and we watched all the dances..The sweet pink outfits are in a cedar chest in a basement i'm sure.

There really does need to be more than 2 vidios of them: they were on for weeks!!! I loved them I remember making my dad tape it every week so I could watch it over and over: who knows where those tapes went! Thank!!

ah my gourd! once in a while i'll think fondly of 'star search' & these two always spring to mind & i wonder, does anyone else remember them??? i idolized them as a kid, lol! they are still kinda impressive. i favorited this for nostalgia's sake. :) heinz & keesha, if you're out there, tell us how things've gone for you!!! ~krikit (3o years 0ld!!!!!)
