@awesomeH2O The aardvarks and the meerkats share an exhibit area in the Small Mammal House. I'm not good at estimating or remembering the specifics of exhibit sizes, but you can see the whole viewing area in my videos, so you can probably estimate it.
The door that the keeper comes through is back there as well. Anytime they hear noise behind the door, one of them will run over to see if the keeper is coming to feed them.

Thanks for adding more details to the story!
Several times I have observed the meerkats heading back to the doorway/entrance to the aardvark den even after the keeper has placed their food out.
I think they are very curious about everything, including what the aardvarks are doing!
