Now this looks great. Another Betty masterpiece, easy, enjoyable. Your videos relax me. There really are some good people left in this world. Thanks Betty
Thank you so much for all of your videos. I live in Canada, but my mom and her family are originally from SD. I grew up on a lot of the casserole dishes you've made videos about! Me and my parents used to go down to visit my grandparents on the ranch in SD every Thanksgiving, but after my grandpa died a few years ago, my grandma moved to AZ, and as such, I rarely get to see my American relatives.
Watching this video made me feel closer to home. <3
Betty, I have watched almost all your videos, I just love your cooking. You are to me just relaxing to watch when I need some down home connection I just go to your videos & it makes me feel like I'm home again, your just down to earth & outgoing I just adore you. I hope you never stop making videos, to bad you dont have a show on foodnetwork, God Bless & keep up the great work. Your #1 fan!!!!!

Hi Betty! My family really enjoys your videos - Thank you for sharing! I am going to make this today for Easter and I was wondering about how many servings it is. Thank you!
@batika118 It will serve a large family gathering, assuming you have an entree, other vegetables and salads, plus dessert. If it is the main dish, it would serve 4 to 6.
thanks I'm going to make this for my Mom today she loves Bean Casserole not sure who else will eat it. But Moms the one that matters. I'll report back happy Thanksgiving!
Betty, I'm a complete novice in the kitchen! Your casserole looks delicious! Thank you for such a helpful video. I will be using your recipe for Thanksgiving this year. Happy holidays!
What can I use as a mushroom soup substitute? By the way, I love your videos & they are very instructional. I find them extremely helpful & delicious!
Hi Betty.. I make this every Thanksgiving.. everyone loves it! I havent used bell peppers before in mine but have added cheese.. really delicious & easy to make.. I want to try your Oreo truffles this year!
i never had a green bean casserole before but i made urs first time for christmas...my family and i loved it. it taste better fresh but we had it for left overs as well it was good then too. thanks for the upload.
I have made green bean casserole several times and no one will eat it but me! But I think this new twist with the cheese and the red peppers just might be what I needed. I will let u know the out come! :)
It is a fairly large casserole. If you're having several other dishes, I would say it would serve about 10. If this is the main course, then only about 4. I hope this helps!
OMG!!! this green bean casserole was the best recipe ive ever made.. we tried making this last year not as good as ur recipe. thank u for the great casserole. my intire family loved it.
I just tried your green bean casserole last night for Thanksgiving. It was awesome! Thanks for helping out an amateur cook like myself. My family loved it. It was gone!
Most people like green bean casserole. If you hate green beans, then you probably won't. With all the flavors that are added, it tastes like a creamy, cheesy vegetable casserole. The French fried onions make it quite tasty, too! Thanks for your question!
Hi Betty, Happy Thanksgiving ! I made the green bean casserole and slow cooked turkey today...my familiy loved them!! And they liked the fact that I was not stressful preparing the thanksgiving meals this time... thank you soooo much for your wonderful recipes & videos. I took laptop to the kitchen while cooking. Felt like you were in the same room with me.. hahahah :)))
Hello Betty.. I am your new fan! I just watched how you cooked turkey in slow cooker and how to make green been casserole. I will try that on Thanksgiving day.... actually looking forward to doing that now... ((was thinking to just order the turkey dinner from stores! but scrap that, I will make my own now! ) ... thanks again, and have a wonderful Thanksgiving day...
You are very welcome! I am glad you are making your own Thanksgiving dinner! There's nothing like home-cooking for Thanksgiving! Thanks for your sweet comment!

I hope you and your family are well and had a good halloween. It was my husband's birthday two days ago it was his big 30th, so my mother in law made him a vanilla cake which was really yummy! i have a question, is it really necessary to add frech fried onions, as here i have not seen them, and i am unsure how to make them?
I hope all is well with you and your family! Regarding the recipe, you could leave out the french fried onions, but if you want a little onion flavor in the casserole, just saute some chopped onion in butter or olive oil, and stir it into the casserole--You won't be missing any of the taste! You can use crushed butter crackers along with shredded cheese for the topping.
Yes, It does break from 3 ingredients. I will try this one night. Maybe with your fried chicken =).

daisyflower22 2 years ago
Hi Lucy!
