I like Nirvana but I think that time has given them a mystic that is slightly undeserved (the 'what could of been' syndrome). Their best album was Unplugged and that had a lot of covers on it. I understand the point your making though, it's quite valid although its equally valid to compare bands of different genres. I remember all the Nirvana cds going up in price after the suicide which was pretty off.
