  • can you please send me the tab to this solo as well? Nice work! - beansymac@yahoo.com

  • Well done!. The hardest lick is the fast syncapated repeating part. Seems easy..but

  • Wow, you do a super job on that guitar!! If you have the tabs for the song Spooky I'd like to get a copy if I could? Thanks so much for your time. obrien123@wi-net.com

  • You're playing the most beautiful Les Paul ever. Never seen the sunburst model that dark. It's wonderful. (and matches your shirt ;-)

  • @KGSoloman2000 Thanks, man...that's nice of you to say. It's called Vintage Antique Burst. I took the pickguard off it. I think it looks much better.

  • is that an intel logo on your shirt?

  • @wmw0702 Yes, indeed it is. It's just a shirt I got from one of my local parts vendors, I don't work at Intel but we do have an Intel site here south of Phoenix.

  • Hey man. Can u send it to me. gww1996@yahoo.com. Thanks man

  • Great job! Want to learn this, if you find time please send me the tab at zenenregalado@yahoo.com. Thanks a lot!

  • Very well done, I really enjoy your solo work and it's helping me become better. I did have one question, at the end of the live version of spooky the rhythm guitar player does a solo consisting of mainly chords - I would love to learn how to play that - any help would be appreciated.

  • you should check my covers of the first and second solos.. honestly i think mine sound better.. but i get excited about newly posted videos.. i have no doubt the more i listen to them, i'll nit pick them to shreds lol

  • THANK YOU!!! For your fine efforts in trying to help us guys who someday hope to play like you....!

  • Fantastic.....Question: Can you show us viewers how the very last short Spooky solo

at the end of the ARS video is done? The one that sounds and looks like the guitarist is using a steel slide of some sorts as he plays it to get that neat sound....thanks.

  • really solid playing, like the sound too btw :-)

  • nice job. was wondering if tabs are still available. thanks.

  • Do you have tab for this solo? I'm still struggling a bit and it would help.

  • Nice job guy. The whole solo is great, but it's the bend that anticipates the beat at :50 seconds that always blows me away.

    So tasty.

  • Damn man you are a fabulous guitar player! That was awesome, ARS are one of the most underrated bands ever as is Barry Bailey IMO. Beautifully done!

  • @drjay73

You're too kind. Just a lot of practice and repetition...but thanks, just the same!

  • @axslinger99 i agree, practice makes it closer if not perfect...

  • Yes, I would like tabs.

  • Dude get back in the lime light Excellent, Thanks....

  • This is a great solo to learn, thanks for posting your cover. These vids are priceless to me learning the solos I like.

  • Thanks for the licks. Beautiful phrasing even if it is a copy. You are seriously good guitar player.

  • @damiencomerford

Nah, just a lot of practice...but thanks. ;)

  • Ah! The lick at 0:23 gets me everytime. Nice job!

  • @CliffThaRiff

Thanks, it is a tricky one and really hard to play live if you don't have a rock-solid rhythm section to play over.

  • @CliffThaRiff

I have a video posted with a little different fingering on this riff if it will help you out any.

  • Hey good cover man. Barry Bailey's stuff isn't easy to play...lol.

I found an easier way to finger the fast syncapated repeating part. I tried to do it like you are but my fingers kept getting tangled up...I have it posted under my videos. You should check it out.

Great work though man. ARS rocks.

    Keep Rockin'.

  • I will check it out. I had seen it played up higher and tried it for a while but just couldn't nail it. It's a tough part...a triplet over a 4/4, very similar to the triplet in the "Two Tickets" solo...tough to nail the groove.

  • YOU ARE THE MAN! Been trying to learn this damn thing for 20 years.

  • Thanks, Man.

If it makes you feel any better, that's probably how long it took me! But seriously, I just grab my guitar, load up Winamp with a slow-down plug in and work it out, one note, then one measure or two at a time. I promise, I have at least 200 hours into learning those solos, practicing them and getting to where they were just second-nature. I've played each of them probably 1000 times...not much comes natural to me. If I can do it, I'm sure you can. Now get to work and post it!

  • I am impressed dude. Thanks for sharing that.

  • Great work. I've got to learn this for an audition this weekend...and your work will help me accomplish. Barry Baily is/was such a patient guitarist.

  • This is great! I have played a cheesy version of this for years and ran across this today and am learning it from your video.

Damn that dead computer!! But you can still make out the scale if you watch close.

    Thanks much.

  • I really need to do a detailed slowed-down version. I know it's difficult to learn from a full-speed video without tabs or anything...one of these days I'll do it!

  • I already put it in Audacity and am breaking it down. It's really good and it's helping me get over sitting in the pentatonic box!

I need to drop it half a step too.

    Thanks again for sharing this.

  • Thanks, to EVERYBODY for the comments. I'm glad you can appreciate them. Unfortunately the computer I had the tab on has died and I don't have another copy...When I do I'll let you know!

  • Great stuff. You nailed the Barry Baily tone!!!

  • Great Job..Thanks

  • excellent man

  • Thanks...much appreciated!

  • That was incredible. Thanks a million man.

  • Brilliant, trying to learn this at the moment.
