I never get tired of watching Hyakutaro own the mini-ufos with his hadoukens. He takes out about a half dozen of them, not to mention getting some good hits in on the mothership. XD

Without a doubt I think this is the best Metal Slug game made the sprites and backgrounds are so vivid and fluid. Too bad the graphics surpassed so many home consoles at the time I wish I could've played this back 15 years ago.

However I still think X has a certain style and makes more comical references than 3. The Aliens were more overwhelming but it was better twist in X when the aliens turn, and your former enemies become allies. In this sense 3 was a more predictable scenario. They are both really good but I don't think one necessarily outdoes the other completely

@SABRENOSE Metal Slug X certainly takes the cake on comedy, the plane going for the mothership is a fucking landmark to the series ! But on finales I think 3 STILL has the crown, I haven't played 6 or 7, but 4 and 5's finales were absolutely dissapointing.

The only thing I dislike about this is, that it isn't exactly the same as the version I saw on vacation. This one seems to be easier (it gives you more vehicles and stuff) and has more weapons. Also the bosses are different and seem to have less health. I guess they made it a little more beatable, so people don't get too frustrated when playing it xD

His hadoukens must be as strong as at least one bomb hit since just a single hadouken will take out a small UFO.

The weapon item that has a flashing big letter symbol is a modified weapon, it consists of heavier firepower than the original.

Laser (modified): wider laser fire

Rocket Launcher (modified): Bigger missles

Heavy Machine Gun (modified): Lessen spread when shooting straight.

I don't know much of the other weapons that can appear modified.

And they can also serve as effective meat shields against those damn lasers the mini-ufos through at you non-stop especially when the player is being shielded by the bullet-shield troops of Morden's Infamous X Army. :D And also those tanks are very helpful indeed since one shot for their cannons when they hit one of those mini-ufos can bring them down in one shot making it less annying for the player when they help out indeed!

Also if you think beating the final boss on normal difficulty is easy then Yasko3 should really try and beat it on level 8 difficulty which is THE MOST HARDEST DIFFICULTY for Metal Slug X indeed! XD heh heh heh level 8 is MUCH MUCH MORE ANNOYINGLY DIFFICULT TO BEAT with out losing on elife indeed compared to the normal version of difficulty which is level 4 difficulty. XD heh heh!
