Not really, 'hanoc'. Jeannie has the ability to "alter" people's perceptions, but she's "only human", not "omnipotent". Her emotions often get in the way of "correctly" applying her powers in certain situations...I suppose that, when Dr. Bellows "officially" met her at the end of "Guess Who's Going To Be A Bride?" (part 2), he MUST have been thinking, "I KNOW I've seen her somewhere before...". But head writer James Henerson never pursued that kind of plot thread...

You explanation as to why Dr. and Mrs. Bellows failed to recognize Jeannie is plausible but there is one problem with it: If the show's writers were consistent with Jeannie's ability to do this to people's memories would Maj. Nelson ever have to worry about Dr. Bellows discovering she is a genie?
