I have already learned Crushing Step and Intercepting Fist forms from the makers of these DVD's. I am also a member of the online academy. It costs $8 to buy a short online course, like a kicking series or chain attacks. Once you register in course it remains in your training library. I am beginning to learn the form he is performing in this video. The instructional DVDs include the out takes.

I'm ignorant in martial arts and I've always been curious about this how are those forms used in combat. Are you doing combos, counters, attacks, and blocks all in one dance like motion? Is that why you have to practice a lot

@michael1988toronto Yes as is often the case, the transliteration/romanization variants tend to vary widely on the names of motions/forms/etc.. This one most often goes by 'spear hand' or 'piercing hand/strike'.

are you saying the online academy will be released on dvd as well? will the dvd version be more expensive?

@LongfistThomas The online academy will be a great deal more content than fits on a DVD. Some of the online content will also be made available on DVD, but much of it will be available online only.

@kustomhead Thanks. In fact, not only have we been thinking about it, we just finished filming most of the content for exactly the DVD you're describing. We're also going to be publishing it online as part of a video-based distance learning community, but it will be made available in DVD form as well by the end of May.

@LongfistThomas Sometime in 2010. Not sure of the exact month as yet, as we're going to let our community start deciding the priority order for hand/weapon forms filming based on voting starting this Summer.

Possibly, but it would be a bit down the line. Next up are Mantis Exits Cave, Mantis Steals the Peach, The Plum Blossom Sets, and some other hand and weapon forms. So many forms, so little time.... ;-)
