bigger problem with Madden is the animations that don't fit well together, runners fazing through defenders, special teams players reassigned to offensive line and still blocking well, David Tyree helmet catch animation on almost every set of downs, weird path motioning for defenders and blockers and slowing down runners on the end of plays to compensate for bad programming and decrease TD rates
Madden repackages this shit every year for 60$ with none of this solved and people eat it up

I agree with TJ. He is faster than 81. He should be at leats 89 if not higher. But Madden did make the ratings terrible this year. all the speeds are down. the only person I would say had the right speed was Devin Hester with a 99. They even had Derelle Revis like a 90 overall! Also TJ is a 91 overall. He'll still kill the cornerbacks with or without speed because of his ratings.
He is pretty hard to play against. If his speed rating WAS 81, his accel is 86 or above, and like they said his route running is up there with Chad Ochosinco.

agreed, Speed is really the rating that is always the factor every year out of all the ratings. Perfect example Week 1 of this year...DEN @ CIN. The miracle tipped pass from Kyle Orton to Stokely. If you watch a clip of that Keith Rivers had a chance to run after him but Stokely clearly left him in the dust. Stokley's speed in Madden is 84. Rivers is 87. Complete ludacris

You run a 4.61 and you get a 81 speed. It's not 81 out of everyone.. it's 81 based just on all WR's. A D End 90 speed isn't the same as a CB 90 speed.

I agree with TJ. He is faster than 81. He should be at leats 89 if not higher. But Madden did make the ratings terrible this year. all the speeds are down. the only person I would say had the right speed was Devin Hester with a 99. They even had Derelle Revis like a 90 overall! Also TJ is a 91 overall. He'll still kill the cornerbacks with or without speed because of his ratings.

It's just a game? I think it is beyond just a game. Madden rating is one way to compare and judge a player. I do not think anyone would be happy if they are being judged or compared in front of the public of this magnitude. As for Seahawks fan, T.J will bounce back. He caught 3 TD passes in his last 4 games and he'll do just fine against Cardinals, Packers, and Viking's secondaries.

im in no way saying that he is a speed burner and i agree that his skills in hands and awareness, Jump catch stuff like that are good i just think its rediculous that some linebackers are faster than him tight ends are faster i think he should have about 88 and say Ward should have like 90-91 in speed there should be seperation from wide outs and linebackers in speed. also i think its crap that EA gets there info and its wrong, the whole 40 yard dash thing was funny in my opinion

agreed, Speed is really the rating that is always the factor every year out of all the ratings. Perfect example Week 1 of this year...DEN @ CIN. The miracle tipped pass from Kyle Orton to Stokely. If you watch a clip of that Keith Rivers had a chance to run after him but Stokely clearly left him in the dust. Stokley's speed in Madden is 84. Rivers is 87. Complete ludacris

You run a 4.61 and you get a 81 speed. It's not 81 out of everyone.. it's 81 based just on all WR's. A D End 90 speed isn't the same as a CB 90 speed.
