The reason why babel has never succeeded at liverpool, is for two reasons.

1. He played constantly on the left wing, when he should have played down the middle. He is after all an out and out forward.

2. Young players needed consistency of games, to pick up confidence and experience, and babel simply never received that under benitez.

If hodgson gives him the chance to shine, then he will shine.

I think Liverpool's present system doesn´t suit him...he could play as a wing in another team,like Barça or Inter for example,because the alleged wings are not so,they're strikers....they leave space for the Side Defenders to be the actual wings.

Babel would be awesome playing where Pandev or Eto'o play in Inter or where Villa or Pedro play in Barça...he should play next to Torres and Kuyt with Gerrard behind them.

In Liverpool he plays next to Gerrard,same as Kuyt,with Torres ahead of them 3.

Riera has never been THE match winner or game changer but believe it or not his inclusion in our squad was one of the reasons we were challenging for the title last season. BUT NOOOO! lets go for the more defensive approach and put KUYT on the left and put LUCAS in midfield.
