@slaky12 don't play basic matches, start playing automatch 1v1 to gain experience and learn how the game works, what to do what not to do. if u like team games better then go to 2v2 automatch, but stay away from Basic matches, as that is just complete bs with team stacking, cheaters etc.
I understand that you say victory points arent that important, but i dont see why you dont just capture them with men doing nothing because it takes a few seconds and it brings a quicker victory, i mean if you can cap a point you might aswell

what does a "150% capture speed" mean. surely a 100% capture speed would mean they captured points infinitely fast, like instantly. and a 50% increase in that speed would mean that they captured it %50 quicker than that. it's like saying: "my car drives at %150 speed"...WHAT!?
@MustNotRead Units in company of heroes usually have a 1.0 capture rate, in this case rifle men have a 1.5 capture rate. It just means they capture 50% faster than your average unit.

for new players, the Americans are a must. easy, simple unit upgrades, and useful commander powers. i recommend that brand new players avoid the wheremacht at all costs. their units are not cheap and they have to go through more upgrades before getting units like tanks and armor

Rifle men have a very high upkeep cost despite being a very cheap unit to produce. that cost is what what keeps them from being easy to spam.
Usually 4 or 5 rifle squads is the maxim you want in a fight, any more an you are going to start digging into your long term man power. If that happens the enemy will actually begin to beat you in the man power race. Man power is a resource and you are competing with the enemy via combat to take his away. More resources faster = victory.
like the vid. though just like you said. this strat works best vs PE. if he would have gone for tier 2 it would have been a complete different story for you. the BAR start is more safe vs whermacht (wich i think that you already know :-) but still love the tips and i hope you make some more vids like this for CoH = ) 5stars!
Yeah, even a machine gun would have made things a lot more dicey in that game. I don't think I've ever played a game of CoH as Whermacht and not have built a MG42.
Teir 2 is usually my fall back strategy as Whermatcht.

This game allready needs 2 days to install all the patches cause its too stupid to get it all in one package :-(
Its like 3 gigabyte patches and every part the downloader loads is 140mbits and needs 1 hour x-(

No, man power goes down by building units. It's called upkeep, every unit decreases your man power gain per minuet.
