Sam Philips kept a lot of good stuff in the locker cos he didnt have loads of bucks to push everything he recorded .At least this was preserved .I wonder how much is lost ??
Chris Isaak played this at his last concert in Southern California. He mentioned that he had re-recorded number of these songs at the Sun Recording Studios in Memphis...I think that album will be released sometime soon.
Miss Pearl - Jimmy Wages [Tennessee] - 1956 - "Very good R&B VOCALS, guitar work. An Ad at the end of the song." - Rockin' Bones: 1950s Punk & Rockabilly (Disc 4) (Rhino)-2006.
A typical rockabilly song inspired by the success of Elvis, Jerry Lee, etc.other artists on the Sun Label. Not all Sun artists were successful but they all were instrumental in furthering the country/rock sound which can be called "C R O C K" (aka country/rock) Rock on!!!
