I've lived in Wyoming my whole life and couldn't possibly picture myself living anywhere else because separation from this historic and beautiful land filled with pine forests, mountains, plains, and wildlife would be too much for me to take. I truly am sorry for anyone who has never gotten to visit our state, or has never gotten to look out their window and see a mountain rise, a valley, or a field of gold. This is Wyoming, home of the cowboy and land of heart.

Reminds me of my younger days. Smells, sounds en views of nature all felt so much more intense. Think I have to go to the mountains again for a long, long walk to find that back. :D

John Denver used to come into the Hayden airport when I worked there in the 1980's. I used to fuel his Lear 35 and rent cars to him. He had an adopted girl who attended Perry Mansfield in Steamboat Springs. I wouldn't presume to say that I knew him, but I was acquainted with him. He was always very decent and personable. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his untimely death.

I love this song - I never heard it before last weekend when I had the pleasure of hearing it performedlive live at the Rock Box Theater in Fredricksberg, Texas by cowboy music singers, the English Brothers. I had to look it up on the web and I found out that John Denver sang it on this album - absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for posting this song.

This is excellent. Chris LeDoux had a version of this song, you should do a video to his since he lived in Wyoming. You said it's difficult to find public domain pictures of Wyoming. Brother, Wyoming is a public domain picture. No place like it

This is such a beautiful song. I miss my days of ridin'. There is no other state like Sweet Wyoming. This is the state for people who like wide open spaces.

BEAUTIFULLY ARRANGED VIDEO ! .....this song was on the flip side of a cassette tape I had in Germany, while in the Army and going thru a bitter divorce , I was at war with myparents, my self, doing drugs, this song seemed to calm me a lot in some bad times ! When I calmed dwn and came stateside , I started turning my life around for the better....yrs later I tried to find the song and it was HARD to find in record stores ! Thanks for posting ! These pix match the ones in my mind perfectly !

ya know I could listen to this song anytime of day, every day and this song always seems to bring tears?? I don't get it?? I'm not even from Wyoming, I live in Texas, but have visited 2 times now and I guess after falling in love with Wyoming this song just seems to really get to me! Being from Wyoming and no longer living there, this song makes me all misty.

I notice that many of the pictures in the video are not of Wyoming, though.
