@fasteddie925 That dudes name is Kirk McKim. Pretty good riffer I must admit. He toured with the Allman Brothers Band for years. He is still with Pat Travers. Last I heard of Pat Thrall was when he showed up to gig and Pat Travers had him sit in with the band at The Bottom Line in NYC. He has done some other studio stuff with others but nothing really since producing some MTV stuff back in 2004. Hope that helps! Cheers.
I'm just a little sick of hearing how it's just not the same without Mars , Pat Thrall and Tommy Aldrich . You can find his "Living Legends" interviews on here .In one he talks about how people ask him why he doesn't get the old band back together .You can't go back in time .The guys he has now travel around the country with him in a GMC Tahoe most of the time and play whever they can . Up in Washinton recently they played a Moose Lodge. What the hell do you want from them ? They flat out ROCK!
I agree with stevenp.....the bass player just don't have all the kill-lines..that Mars had....hey man...you are good. But don't just "go through though the motions and hit the right notes......you do......but loosen up a little....you great though..."
@EverettBoard I skipped my senior prom in 80' to see the 'go for what you know/crash and burn' tour. The classic lineup from the live album. It took a week to get my jaw off the floor. That rhythym section was incredible. I think Aldridge went to Ozzy's camp soon after I saw him, and then went on to play with another legend, Randy Rhoads. Great times, will never forget it.
lmmfao at me...Gawd we kicked ass back then didn't we?.still slammin it down, testify Brother!.and yea.Mars the baddest bass player for straight up rock/blues ever.IMHO.he could out jam most any leaned against a wall half asleep.....TRUTH right there
I'm sorry but I'm just gonn'a say it...I can't stand to hear PT without Mars on bass. He has had some talented bassist but they all pale to Mars. If I was in this band I'd play all his lines note for note because just like Pat's stuff they are all golden and anything short just doesn't cut it...words from a fan (of the music).
Rodney...not saying your not a kickass bassplayer, your doing better than most Mars subs...just do better!
Damn this kicks ass! Pat Travers and Pat Thrall were both incredible players back in the day, and it's cool to see Travers kick out the jams one more time. Thanks for posting!
God Bless your ass, fellow Hammerhead.. I shot P.T.'s show at Club Anthology downtown near the Gaslamp Quarter here in San Diego about two and a half months ago with my Lumix ZR-1 in full 1020HD, and thought it turned out really good, and now I feel like an ass - THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT, FOLKS. Hats off, Dude - nice job. PT ROCKS!

And that ladies and gentleman is how it's done! Pure and raw the way it should be. Would have liked to be there for that private performance! :)

He still doesn't do it like he did in '79 when touring with AC/DC. Probably one of the best concerts I have EVER SEEN in my life!!!!
