  • she's got nice dreads.

  • SOUND DALE MARTIN

  • i dont get this whole ..i'm half white half black but choose to identify with one side....so you would just ignore one whole side/culture? you are what you are, if youre 50/50 love it and be proud of it....dont sit in front of your white mother(usualy always is) and black father and say'i'm black/white....so which one of them are you insulting! do away with the 1 drop rule....slavery was a loooong time ago. if i have a packet of cheese & onion crisps, is it a packet of cheese crisps????

  • @ifunanya24 why do you assume that these people are 50/50 anyway? If you want to be technical many hispanics have black in them too. Many black people are not even 100 percent pure so how can you say 50 percent its not even a fact. There are many black people that look mixed so they must not be 100 percent black...Why do mixed people always play black characters on these t.v. show? Could they have auditioned for "The Brady Bunch" to play Cindy or" Family Ties" to play malire or Alex?

  • @1802graceave keep it simple, dude. anything that is not 100% white is black

  • @ifunanya24 Why are they auditioning for black shows and playing black characters. Its only natural for the black audience to accept them as black They know they can't go to audition to play a role for a sibling in a white family..black people did not create this, the racist world we live in did, so dont blame them for seeing a character as black because that is what they casted her as and thats what she signed up for along with the peurto Rician oldest Saundra.

  • dirty white man's whore!

  • Stoned.

  • she is still freakin gorgeous, beautiful, sexy, smooth and cool just like her Cosby show character. she was amazing!

  • Bravo blackreader19two! You hit the nail right on the head! This strong Black woman has Native American, French Canadian, and Irish lineage. Black folks have a lot of different flavors in them!

  • I promise she'll look beautiful if she fix's her hair..Like,I'm not even kidding, she look like she does drugs and she probably doesnt even do drugs..Fix yourself up!She's still beautiful, her face,so I think she should do something with her hair. She shouldnt wait because her beautiful face will go away soon from aging,so get yourself together now before it's too late.I do not wanna see plastic surgery being done to her face neither.

  • SHE SOUNDS THE SAME!!

  • Yoga is Satanic... enuff!!!!

  • @The7miledogg huh?!

  • @dinadebou READ MONKEY READ!

  • @The7miledogg I see... ¬_¬

  • I heard she had a real bad attitude. She pretty and all but there is something about her that's off.

  • @TheViva11 I said the samething she looks snuddy or idk can't finger it. But she llok like a recovering drug addict now

  • love lisa bonet - down to earth - talented - blacklisted for sure - unfortunate

  • She was always my fave from the Cosby show! I always thought she was the most beautiful, and I like her "calm" vibe.. the way she acts, idk how to describe it. Also reminds me of Hilary Duff when she speaks.. lol

  • Much love LB.

    -G

  • she shoulda been a HUGE star but she pissed off Cosby too much and its clear she was blacklisted.

  • @Jako32 Pissed off Cosby? I would love to hear more about this if you would be so kind?

  • @Antichrist2000 basically alot of her views on how her character and the show should be run did not agree with the producers and director(bill cosby) of the show. She was always that "free wild child" and it got too much for ol' cosby and they gave her the boot.

  • @bahir12345 Thank You.

  • @bahir12345 Not only that, she became pregnant with Zoe while the show was a #1 hit in the Nielsen ratings. That clearly didn't show her (as a Cosby kid) in the best light.

  • i wish there were more lisa interviews on youtube. i can only find this one and one other :(

  • beautiful hairs, beautiful eyes. Damn, she is beautiful!

  • so does marijuana

  • @bahir12345 lol "does". haha. That's the best way to be free man.

  • @bahir12345 man i'm triyng to forget the fact that i can't buy any weed at this time, by surfing on the net, when i saw your comment...right now you killed me!! hehehe peace bro

  • @bahir12345 Natural Mystic :)

  • be loving lisa forever

  • She is still hot ever since Cosby show, she was so under rated!

  • I do my best to love myself lol - that's some deep spiritual stuff

  • haha, she still sounds the same

i was expecting a bit deeper, but feminine voice

  • @plogan721 you are correct all shades of African American people are beautiful and do make pretty babies..And @envymeforgood yes you can tell she's mixed and she's very beautiful might I add:) thnk you all for the comments:)

  • SQUEEEEEEEEEK! I kind of wish my voice were more girly like hers......then again, people don't tend to take you seriously when you sound like a fairy.

  • why do some use the word jewish like its a race or ethnicity? Its a religion...not a race.Caucasian &Africans are races and truthfully by scientific standards there are only two races by which ALL other ethnicities emerged...She is of mixed caucasian & black heritage...now if you want to be specific of WHERE that caucasian heritage comes from...then its all geography

  • @mcoordinator

Yes, Jewish is a religion NOT a race, in fact most jewish people are not Semitic at all - In fact this usually comes from websites where they say "She is Jewish" come on people, you don't say someone is "Buddhist" "Christian" or "Muslim". She is European/African, not Semitic/African. (I have to say the generalization annoys me because I'm Arab/Israeli/African/European)

Is it just me or does anyone think her eyes are just lovely? I love their shape.

  • Spiritual side of Hollywood? There's a contradiction in terms. "I try to love myself ..." Ooo that's deeply spiritual. How do you celebrate that love? Masturbation? Like your performances. Puh-leeze.

  • AND yu can tell she's black. Her black is very beautiful.

  • @Jdawg7286 she looks mixed not just black if you ask me the dreads made her more urban like but she definitly looks like a biracial woman she has the features of both black and white and hair texture of mix both black and white mix girls without the dreads that is!

  • I always thought that her and one of the Debarge men would make pretty babies. I wonder if she even knows tha Debarges lol

  • @Jdawg7286 Oh I cannot stand it when people so that. all shades of African americans make beautiful babies. I should know, because I was a beautiful baby, and I am a medium shade of brown. There are some people, even in the AA race think that light-skinned people make the most beautiful children when it more than the outside that makes a person. Please remember that next time you speak.

  • I love tha heck outta her she is so sexy. I wanna see more pics of her and her babies I bet their getting real big :)

  • Eliza Dushku kind of looks like Ms. Lisa Bonet. She's beautiful too.

    Lisa is gorgeous.

I remember watching 'Biker Boyz' and 'Angel Heart' and thinking, "man, I wish I could look like her". She just has gotten more gorgeous as she has aged.

  • She still rad...

  • She was incredibly beautiful in Angel heart, IMO. I saw the movie 3-4 years ago and I remember that I was even kinda shocked when I saw her. But I realize she hasn't grown up like expected, that's weird.

    Still very beautiful.

  • Lisa Bonet has always been ecentric and kinda strange, sort of like a weird, geeky, yet kind of sexy gal you'd like to get to know, but not bring home to momma.

  • @tom11zz884 your an idiot

  • what year was this in?

  • poor girl.. poor guy.. "staying spiritual" worshiping idols and creation rather than the creator.

  • my God, she grew up beautifully.

  • look up the OCCULT meaning behind HOLLYWOOD and you will know the DARK PURPOSE and how it put's the spell on your mind and reality. the wand was made of HOLLY wood. it's mind control. manipulation. THAT'S what hollywood is about. diverting your attention away from THE REAL MATTERS AT HAND! bye bye. and WAKE UP FROM THE HOLLYWOOD SPELL.

  • Hippie Lisa, but I love ya girl!

  • "I do my best to love myself, love nature--Yoga helps"...Typical shallow and narcissistic Hollywood BS. She's still gorgeous, though

  • lisa is still hott i love them lil tities of hers with those sweet nipples

  • i take it youve see angel heart..?

  • she looks troubled

  • LOL...wow, she still sounds the same from when she was on the cosby show, she was my favorite character by the way..

  • wow her voice is much higher now than in the cosby days

  • @smellyfish555 i agree, what's up with her voice?

  • Mixed people are beautiful!

  • @juan5557903 no, just insane

  • I am suprised....wow. Um anyway, Lisa Bonet is a black woman. Most are very much aware that she is half jewish but that however does not make her any less black. And what is completely black? There is no such thing..... black ppl have a variety of looks, you cannot claim one set of features to one particular ethnicity.

  • She is not COMPLETELY black, okay, although she is considered black she is not. Completely black would be what you would find in Africa, very strong features and most of the time dark brown skin

  • @gatheringleaves

Dont be sooo stupid africa is not a country and come in different shades and features you fool , i bet your white american so Fuckin ignorant

  • I'm not white. I'm actually a light skinned african american

  • @gatheringleaves

Well i feel sorry for you , no sense of history or being well done your a light skinned african american does massa treat you better.GTFOHWBS

You are brainswashed and that is why some african americans like you (emphasis on some) are in trouble you are lost , get a clue!!!!!

  • I Know that Africans come in different shades and features. But I Personally don't find Africans that are darker and more African Looking to be very attractive. I find light-skinned, mulatto, white, and Native American women attractive but rarely dark-skinned black or Asian

  • thats what ppl mean by their treated better

not treated as much as people always think light skinned back people mixed or not are gorgeous and brown skinned and darker arent

  • If you're Black enough to have been a slave in slavery times, you're Black. Period. Most of the children born of the master raping the slave, became slaves themselves so...

  • what? what are you talking about, what point are you trying to make. lisa bonet was not a slave. i guess she's not "black, period" . slavery is a funny thing. cause some black people are still enslaving themselves in their head by telling themselves their still slaves. when its been hundreds or years ago.

  • @blackreader19two I think the point is that biracial people in this country were never equal to whites and and white people would never accept a biracial person into the white race because of the black bloodline they even wen't so far as to say one drop....Lisa is soooo beautiful like a lot of mixed people are and alot of black people are mixed too no one is really 100 percent pure anything..

  • @310725thst true, not even europeans are 100 percent anything. no one is. the only pure anything are indigenous people. like some african tribes, native americans, australian indigenous and etc.

  • Uh actually that's not true. There were mulatto slave-owners back in slavery days, so she is actually bi-racial. Ofcourse, in the United States anyone with black ancestry is unfortunately considered black

  • @gatheringleaves Not true?If there was one or two who could pass as white back then and become a slave owner, its still wasn't enough or even worthy to record, discuss,or icknowledge that this was so..trust me the white man ruled that slave system and mulatto's were considered to be inferior too.The black in them was icknowledged which made them inferior.Bi racial people were not equal to white people.Have you ever saw queen with hally berry?

  • @310725thst

Well that's true, but that's only because whites were obsessed with their whiteness and racial purity in the United States, and because of this many people who barely looked black were treated that way because of the one drop rule. Look up Charles Chesnutt, Walter White, and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. All of them looked completely white but were treated as though and identified as black. In Africa or Latin America most very light skinned mulattos are not considered black

  • My hearts love.

  • what year was this>

  • luvvv lisa bonet. <33 so funny in the cosby show as denise. :) good times...

  • fuck she loves herself, as a yoga devotee myself its no better than kung fu tai chi or chi gung, u celebrities just follow yoga cause u r SHEEP BABABABABA

  • OBAMA (ONE BIG ASS MISTAKE, AMERICA)

  • Yep! she does i mean what do you expect she is half jewish and people kill me when they are offended when you say they dont look all black i mean come on now she dosent she looks like what she is a beautiful exotic biracial woman and not just black[ i mean she is half white and she looks mixed so get over/:0

  • @envymeforgood umm ok??? I think people spend to much time on race. If this was so her parents would find or found love with each other. I think that we all need to learn to love each other and respect each other and it shouldn't matter if she's half of anything unless she's have dog.

  • @envymeforgood she looks like a black woman. When she was cast on the Crosby show as the daughter of black parents, I didn't realize that she was of mixed race until it came out in the press. You can't dilute black. Its to strong. Now you can see what u want. But she is still black. Just like our President Obama.

  • @missVeemack no offence, but if you line up 100 black woman, she would stand out, not because she's beautiful, a lot of black woman are beautiful, but she clearly looks mixed raced. she doesn't have the look of most black woman, nor white woman, thats because she's neither. her facial feature are more white, her skin and hair, more black. only in america do ppl believe obama is black, he's biracial. its kinda disrespectful to his mothers heritage when you don't aknowloedge it. his moms white

  • She is unique. But I do not look at her, and say, "What is she"? That is how u see her and thats ok. As far as Pres. Obama. If we are the only ones to consider him black. Why were many other countries celebrating with us the first election of a Black president? He is black. I am not over looking his white mother. But if I introduced you to Obama in person and said I want you to meet my white friend. You would be a little puzzled. But if I said he was my black friend, you wouldn't blink.

  • anyone can tell obama is biracial, why the hell would you introduce someone as my " black" friend, who does that, really. I don't look at her and think what she is, I just look at her and say, wow, she's really pretty, i could care less what she is, as do most men, and women. but my point was, she does not look as a completely black woman. barack obama isn't just black, if people refer to him as black , their wrong, he's mixed, bi racial. white and black, u can't call him just one or the other.

  • if you have black in you then you are black

    thats just the reality

  • @blackreader19two I so agree with you; I'm black, my son's father is white and I've raised my son to not deny that he is black and white. When he was in daycare at age 4 he stated that he is black and white and a "teacher" (who is Hispanic) told him that he is only black. Unfortunately, some people are just still so ignorant.

  • @SEANSKIPPYJOHNJONES its that type of ignorance that breeds more ignorance. its sad that its ignorance from the top. the one drop rule sorta started this. barrack obama is unable to identify as biraced. it wasn't untill 1998 i believe that i was legal to identify as biracial on your birth card. its so long coming. i'm from canada. good luck to yall in the next 40 hours, hopefully you guys will have health care. my fingers are crossed.

  • @blackreader19two Some of her facial features are more blk her original nose was a mixture and more rounded at the tip and her lips are full, not white and thin .she is unusual looking as most people mixed are but i have to say that most mixed people play black characters on tv shows..Could u see a mixed person playing a sibling on family ties or the role of cindy on brady bunch?barock Oboma could never say that he is a white man but he could say blk and yes he stood out in his white family pics

  • Comment removed

  • @blackreader19two TOTTALY AGREE

  • @blackreader19two ...Yes, it is only in American because only in America were blacks defined by the 1 drop rule....Why? Because a lot of blacks were breed as slaves to produce more slaves. Breeding took place with whites and Native Americans. This is why African-Americans come in so many different shades.Obama is an African-American who is biracial. There are very few African-Americans without some white lineage.

  • @page371069

    So very true!!!!!

  • @blackreader19two It's not disrespectful if obama himself classifies himself as Black. He says he's Black, White America said he's black because of their retarded 1-drop rule and now their up in arms because that rule backfired in their face, funny lol.

  • @newjourney25 I meant "they're" in my sentence.

  • ágree even with dreads she dosent look all black at all you can tell she is biracial mixed multiethnic not just...black!

  • @mzslim05 who cares

  • and i agree envymeforgood the girl looks multiethnic not just black ...no offense to any one i mean you can tell she is biracial she has an exotic look the color of her skin and her hair her features period just dont look all black ..not that im saying black isent beautiful its just her look is very different from a typical black woman !

  • @shuyuki12 that's because she's not a typical black women!!! and that is very offends to to say a typical black woman. She don't look like a typical white woman either. But you did not seem to want to bring that up

  • What's a "typical black woman"?

  • lol lol latoya jacskon lol come on now if you are going to compare lisa bonet to anyone it would be some one exotic looking beautiful hot biracial and gorgoues ....not latoya jackson lol lol!

  • @shuyuki12 by the way biracial women are not the only one that are exotic women. I've been to many different countries and people would say I look exotic to them because they don't see black woman alot. same goes for someone that is white that goes to another country they look exotic

  • @sldeyo : AGREED!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE JESUS!!!! These Hollywood ppl all into Nature & New age Bullshit tht WONT get them into Heaven!!

  • typical hollywood fantasy land bullshit...snap to reality already

  • Whats wrong with loving nature you dumbfuck? You are nobody to tell anybody who to love. You love Jesus if you fucking choose to. You think Jesus did not love nature ?? He communed with nature every fucking day!

  • she looks like a young La Toya Jackson

  • Is the ethnic background of Lisa Bonet somthing of relevance to the question that was asked in this interview?

  • @cooliegee nope but idots on youtube love to bring race into because they might be racist themselves

  • The segment of the baby's name, Manakauapo, is ungrammatical. Lisa Bonet should have chosen someone who speaks Hawaiian if she wanted to be all cool and cultural. Instead, she slapped together a bunch of words hoping it would means something. Now that child is stuck with that hideous, ungrammatical name.

  • @Kamaka675 if she claims that Manakauapo means "the powerful rainy night" then shes wrong. but if she said "the night rain is powerful" then technically shes correct lol. or maybe she wasnt even tryin to be grammatical. maybe she was tryin to make an amalgamated name or a portmanteau. if we dont know the whole story of how the baby got his name then we really shouldnt judge if its correct or not. btw dont blame her if the name is wrong. the babys dad is hawaiian, he should of known better lol

  • @DAtube04 Yes, I should revised what I said. The name is not ungrammatical. Although it does not mean what she claims it does, it is a grammatical phrase. At first glance, because she gave the explanation that Manakauapo was supposed to mean "powerful rainy night," it appeared that they put the name together by writing it out in English and substituting each word with a Hawaiian one, and perhaps mistaking ka and ua as a single word. The phrase can mean "the night rain is powerful."

  • @DAtube04 But I have to wonder if the name was intentional or a lucky accident.

  • i grew up on loving this woman and she is just as beautiful today as anybody strutting through hollywood. she is a flawless description of beauty. much respect lisa.

  • @sklavinski04 agreed! :)

  • i agree same with me the only way i knew was from the Cosby show!lol

  • i meant i didn't know she was black !

  • Lisa bonet don't look blacker..to tell you the truth when i first saw Lisa i didn't know she black.... she looks a lot like itilain or Spanish European mixed with black ..not trying to offend no body but like her color and her hair even when she had the dreads on the Cosby show she still had that tropical exotic look her pretty milky color skin and jet black hair big beautiful brown doe eyes the lips she has that exotic look . she looks multiracial and when she tans its pretty like on this clip!

  • mmm...lisa's gorgeous!!!

  • Wow, she sounds so much blacker on the Cosby show. lol

  • what a clueless airhead

  • She has always been super fine!!

  • Hi! Love Lisa! Such a natural actress, even back on her Cosby days at 16 years old. There's just a very spiritual vibe to her that I "get." Cosby didn't get it which is why he probably had his conservative fits. Even though I'm the same age as Keshia(Rudy), I've always identified with Lisa(Denise).

  • i agree..Cosby is too much of a conformist...Lisa is an earth child...people who are too caught up in the material world don't get people like her...I always got her and Cree Summer...

  • I understand where you're coming from but still...the woman is very rich. It's easy to love yourself/nature when you have the means to isolate yourself from the noise of the world.

    Elitism is elitism.

  • halle berry has a better body but she is gorgeous

  • Lisa bonnet is gorgeous!!!!How on earth did Halle Berry get more attention on beauty then Lisa Bonnet?

  • i always said the same thing there are woman that are prettier than halle berry not only lisa bonet but so is Sade those two are my favorite out of any woman but especially Sade don't get me wrong halle is pretty but i always thought that Sade and Lisa bonet were prettier

  • Cause Lisa Bonet looks more political/ blacker, esp. due to her natural dreaded hair. She doesn't conform to white society's views on the appropri

  • As I was saying before my computer posted my comment before I was finished, Lisa Bonet didn't conform to what whites think is the appropriate way for black women to look.

  • You have a very valid point.

  • @THG7857 HB kept it commercial. LB kept it real.

  • @THG7857 Halle soled her soul to the devil just like Lenny Kravitz..u see they are still in hollywood strong don't chu?!?

  • @babidrahma I dont think I like you.

  • @babidrahma oh get out of here with that preacher crap! nobody SOLD their souls as you put it.

  • @THG7857 Because they are equally beautiful. And Lisa is too "different" to fit in. But me and Lenny Kravitz agree who is better.

  • @THG7857 - I think Halle took advantage of more opportunity than Lisa.

Lisa was selective & is also very spiritual. Hollywood is not...& neither is Halle.

  • isnt her dad bill cosby?

  • i like the kind of yoga she made in "angel heart".

  • haha. that was some yoga alright.

  • Translation: Nothing.

  • I loled so hard.

  • wow wish i was the lucky bloke to shag her senseless!

  • shag?

    lol

  • yea shag...she's a hippie,silly

  • so jealous

  • omg. I used to be so in love with her when she was on the Cosby Show.

  • she is just 2 fine, i just slaped myself

  • Lisa Bonet hasn't stopped being cute.

  • Stop talking about religion, just talk about zeitgeist

  • how does she still sound the same on the cosby show???

  • Yeah...loving self, nature and yoga will get you far. I think I'll start worshipping nature, Obama while doing yoga. God should really be impressed.

  • The fool says in his heart that there is no God.

The preaching of the cross is foolishness to him that is perishing.

In his pride the wicked does not seek him, in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

Dude...just a couple scriptures to help you out. If you are right in your belief and I am wrong, I lose nothing. If I am right and you are wrong, you lose everything. What good is if you gain the whole world, and lose your soul? Jesus is coming soon Dude. He has a plan for you.

  • You are SOOOOO right !

  • @Quantanthead Hallelujah and Amen.

  • Some people choose to improve their lives and lives of others through god, or what they think is god. It can be positive. Has nothing to do with religion. Just that there might be something

  • You dont believe in God ok. but Quantanthead does, so do I. We dont think your right and you dont think were right. ok watever, drop it.we can believe in who ever we want to.you are not driving us away from God,your making our faith stronger.

  • Lisa is beautiful but hurt her career early on. This is the 25th anniversary of the Cosby show and Lisa is not there to celebrate. I loved her in it. I hope she is happy with her life. She does not owe the public anything. Pax.

  • Lisa Bonet is the most cob-marinating, knob-stiffening, milk-erupting, pork sword-sharpening, cliteral-deforesting, meat pole-polishing, pickle-erecting, jello-solidifying, glue-impending, snatch-inducing, whip cream-combusting being in this quadrant of the galaxy.

  • lol why?

  • It's science. Ask Isaac Newtown. And then thank God for creating Lisa Bonet, His most ethereal display of craftsmanship, during your life time.

  • OMG! LOL!! (Actually LMAO!!)

  • what year was this?
