  • @Weirdiconsandsuch yeap i'm fan off both equaly (i just enjoy what is good) i can tell you that pablo honey is deap in my ass. Also people are saying that Patrick Watson is a Radiohead immitator, i don't think so it the same style of music but the're realy different.

  • @stripeyleaopard That's pretty sexist.... I'm not a feminist, but still. I'm a girl and I LOVEEEEEE this song and every song Patrick created.

  • is this where Thom Yorke gets his inspiration from?

  • @barttan No Thom Yorke is where Patrick Watson gets his inspiration from. Radioheads been around since the 80's

  • @Demineralize But didn't Radiohead's sound become more like this only after 2000?

  • @barttan No there are a lot of songs that I have one my MP3 of them sounding waayy better then this.. :/

  • @Demineralize No... I mean, ugh. Okay, never mind. (:

  • @pickzandstickz same here

  • The man on fire reminds me of the wish you were here album cover..!

  • Fire + Weed = This. No but really, this is a good song.

  • Where was this video taken? It's so beautiful there.

  • @1youcanterase My guess would be Iceland, but I'm not sure. I agree though, it looks forsaken yet so full of life.

  • @SingleServingJohn Iceland, been there in 2006 and met Patrick Watson in Iceland Airwaves, incredible!

  • @1youcanterase

    Iceland

  • Umm... Anyone else hear the resemblance to rip by portishead.....

  • This could actually be my favourite song of all time ever ever ever. I think.

  • c est splendide magnifique et surtout joli la musique comme le clip.....!!!!!!

  • c est splendide magnifique et surtout joli

  • It really sounds like Radiohead

  • does anyone know any other good bands with a similar sound?

  • @nelsopotato

Lhasa de Sela, Andrew Bird, Flowers from the Man Who Shot Your Cousin, Bon Iver, Blitzen Trapper, Sufjan Stevens, Kings of Convenience, Beiruit, the Mirrormask Soundtrack... Best of luck finding something in there that you like.

  • @nelsopotato

    @FollowTheFish

Don't forget Grizzly Bear! I honestly thought this song was by Grizzly Bear when I first heard it

  • @nelsopotato The Black Atlantic, Fleet Foxes, Mumford And Sons, A Balladeer

  • *sees burning man running* Whaaa--? D:

  • Awesome music, the director did an amazing job as well. I'm so glad I found this band.

  • Huge ass nug at 0:58.

  • i would like to hear what goes on in his head, but then i might die for causes unknown. ending was THE most beautiful thing i've seen.

  • This reminds me so much of Radiohead.

  • They're all pure geniuses! That, is music.

  • I LOVE HIMMMMM <3

  • @April1442 Not as much as i do!

  • i like this song

  • Nice artist.. if it wasn't for the Tropicana commercial I wouldn't have discovered him.

  • @aerobatic500 same here

  • @aerobatic500 god dommit tropicoona

  • this touches me in places that long for touch!

  • found this on channel V! i thought decent music was dead

  • @sayatakpunyanama Search behind the money-makers in the billboard top and more shit like that and you'll see there's always good music around any corner

  • @bedoelHe will do

  • @sayatakpunyanama

Nope! It just lives in Canada!

  • @sayatakpunyanama do you not listen to Elliott Smith or something

  • @KimJongSick im sorry... i dont

  • @sayatakpunyanama If you think good music just doesn't get made anymore, well, even if you listened to Elliott Smith you'd still be partially right. Guy killed himself in '03. Still, my point stands. Good music is around still, you just gotta work harder to find it now because there's literally millions of hacks out there who think they're hot shit.

  • i love you patrick

  • what a beautiful video.

  • this is so soothing.

  • this is in iceland isn't it? i've been there in October.

it's odd that all the artists i really love have something to do with iceland, haha

  • Yes this is Iceland. I am Icelandic and I recognize my country.

  • Your country looks very majestic! One day I'll come and visit.

  • Maybe you'll be disappointed......

  • @littlelulamae yes! im pretty positive this is iceland...you can always tell right away, it is so beautiful and unique, sigur ros made aware of such a gem!!

  • The burning man remind me the end of the movie Electroma from daft punk .

  • i don't know if it is my imagination but, at 0:59 sounds like... Ah! Melody by Serge Gainsbourg, no ? (you'll find it easely on YouTube)

  • isnt this song called firewood and not fireweed?

  • the lyric is not "where the firewoods grow"

    that wouldn't make any sense.

  • nope it's fireweed

  • Nope... it's not called firewood, it's called fireweed. I'm looking at the album right now.

  • And you can clearly hear him say "fireweed".

  • Who is the man? Anthony Quinn? It looks like him. But it can't be, he's dead.

  • Just sublime. Good work guys!!

  • Patrick Watson quite has a unique sound if you ask me.

  • Radio head, Andrew Bird and the crescendo type structure definitely reminds me of Arcade fire... that's just a few...

  • sounds like wierd fishes by radiohead.

  • Just awesome..

Getting goosebumps everytime I listen to it (L)

as in really gentle with piano music, i'm in that sort of mood. u know like mellow nice music.

  • The Great Escape

  • Ouch, this sounds quite much like Portishead's The Rip!

  • Indeed, first thing I thought when I heard the first guitar chords. But it's only the beginning which sounds like The Rip.

  • Good call.

  • Album of the year 2009!

  • Beautiful. The new album is such a joy!

  • Finally a new album! Thank you for being back Patrick! Looking forward to see you again in Amsterdam in a few weeks.

  • Reminds of somewhere in Wales, near the Snowdon. Can't remember exactly, I was a kid when we went there.

  • It's filmed in Iceland.

  • I can't believe the trained monkeys at Pitchfork gave this album a 3.3/10. This album is absolutely amazing in all its songs and sections. The vocals, soft melodies and beautifully executed instrumentation never ceases to leave me in awe every time I hear it. One of my top 3 of 2009, definitely.

  • I think Pitchfork just hates everything.

  • trained monkeys indeed

  • Great song, and the landscape is amazing! Any guesses where this was shot?

  • Well? Where was it shot? :)

  • It looks like Krysuvík and the road to Grindavík in south west Iceland.

  • Have you seen Heima by Sigur Rós? ^_^

  • сгорел человек на работе.

  • simply gorgeous

  • where was that shot, Iceland?

  • It looks like Myvatn

  • WOW!

  • i am in love.

    patrick watson is beast, yo.

  • he remains one of the most fantastic artists to me. great stuff again !

  • Great, as usual... :o)

  • if only the whole video was animated !

  • PATRICK WATSON IS LOVE

  • What a great tune.
