hey dude my guitar is messed up the E,A,D,G strings are daddario gauge 9 then my B is a maya gauge 11, my higher E is a steel string. does that mess it up? cause its harder to bend the higher E string.

Oh i have a question on solos...is there any scales or something you use to make sure the notes sound good together. Like modes? And how would you use them?

If you continue to do stretches on your hands, they'll be able to reach just as far. Just work on doing big reaches and stretches. Doing finger exercises on the lower frets will make you work harder for those stretches.

@viperabs i hae trouble doing trills ...like up to alexi laihos speed. i can play everything else except those index and ring finger trills kind of like the solo in tornado of souls. i just can't get em up to speed...Any ideas on how i could work on that o increase speed?

@TheWhocares233 Set the metronome to a pace that you can keep up with consistently doing the trill (hammer/pull action), and then steadily increase the pace as you can keep up with it more. Practice doing them solid for 5 minutes at a time.

I went with the black since it was satin, and I'm a satin NUT. Satin allows better resonance since the guitar isn't confined within a coat of the same material as your typical clear coats and such.
