Certain manufactures ... to assiduously preserve their marqueès status, value and legacy utterly refused -- eg. Chrysler inspired Ghia II; Lincoln coupes of the 1950s -- to sell their vehicles to tacky, loud mouth, crude, showy, vulgar, ignorant, dumb retrograde types despite cads having cash-on-hand ... left in the lurch, hard-pressed to apprehend the resounding unspoken snub ... aka REJECTED as would-be owners. Seems fitting to me ... err ... maybe gold is a color that you ought avoid: hm.
If you would, kindly list/link your mechanical specifications/choices: innovation details would be most appreciated. Planning execution on a "Pres" version ... rendered with a Rolls Royce Cloud 'esque interior; but, with a super fierce 450 - 550 horsepower power plant; fully amphibious; moonroof; advanced tech stealth/defenses equipped; with a glass orb covered instrument panel, a la a c. 1963 Chrysler New Yorker, at a full-swivel-adjustable steering column; stainless steel hood/top/boot.
What destroys Studebakers across the board -- diminishing their stellar exteriors -- is that of their utterly CHEAP, TACKY and MINDLESS interior designs, structural finishes (err ... hexhead botls and screws ... would be preferred to jarring flathead or Phillips head: for that matter concealed fasteners of any sort would prove optimal; crude welds) poor suspension engineering ... rendering total ridership experience abysmal unless SERIOUS MODIFICATIONS aka IMPROVEMENTS are made by an owner
One of THE most beautiful cars in the world....END OF !!! I have loved this car ever since I had my Corgi toy as a boy. It shouldn't work and yet it does...sheer elegance
Studebaker's fate is a shame. But at least we were left with plenty of unique and just plain awesome cars. Too bad this show was canceled. I have a feeling season 2 might have had at least 1 more Stude. The book (365 Cars You Must Drive by Matt Stone and John Matras) has the Avanti, Super Lark and Starliner.
I have to agree with ARCANOE. It is beautiful and it is a 1957 Golden Hawk, not a 1958 GH. Regardless, it is still a nice video and thanks for giving us a chance to see another great looking Studebaker.
Dear Gentleman: It is a very beautiful car, but it´s not a 1958, the car is a heart and breath taking 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk, just a gorgeous car.
Favourite car OF ALL TIME!!!!
