I was accepted to Taylor, too! Ha ha. It's a great college, but it wasn't exactly the right fit for me. I love their envelopes, because they have those words printed on the back. It did ruin the surprise for me a little. My favorite part was the tiny little congratulations on the envelope flap.

in my country we don't get anvelopes we just pay which college we want and wait a few days and go see the lists if not on list whell u know...

Oh...and you will learn to deal with the cold...if you have the right gear on you will be plenty warm the time your outside...the thing that takes more getting used to for me is how crazy the weather is...it will be 90 one day, 30 another, and 70 another (which it is right now...hot than cold than hot...that has been the weather this year)...it is a lot different from the predictable weather of Miami...you never know what you are getting in Upland

I take it you're pleased. Small town rural Indiana- that could be quite a culture shock (depending on where in Cal. you live). Its been a while since I lived in Indiana- I remember that part of the state as scenic but very WASPy-maybe that's changed. I remember running into people who resembled Mr. and Mrs. Ziffel from the Green Acres TV show. Again that was a while back. Congratulations. I know you'll enjoy the experience of being an impoverished college student.

Yes. I lived in Northern Indiana, which gets a lot more snow.  And No. Ind. is different from the rest of the state because it has more ethnic diversity. But I liked Indiana. Except you see that clip of the Chicago weather forecast I have on my site- that happened the first winter I was there. I woke up and the windows were frozen over from the INSIDE. I wondered what I had gotten myself into. But that was the worst- that and the occasional tornado warning.

Yes, Taylor University is low on the ethnic diversity (the personality diversity is very diverse)...but it is not the University's fault...it is just a natural result of the location...the University is trying to attract students from different backgrounds...the percentage of students from different backgrounds is definitely increasing though...I can testify because I am ethnic student from Miami, Florida...but I feel I belong here at Taylor a lot more than Miami due to the Christian values here

My comment on diversity concerned Northern Indiana vs. the rest of the state, and was not directed at the University, which I have never visited. And the term ethnic diversity includes white ethnic groups such as Poles, Hungarians, Italians, etc. Just so you fully understand what I meant.

Welcome to Taylor University if you decide to come...you will love it here...God is doing great things here...and yes the communications department is really good...on my channel you will find a playlist of my favorite Taylor University student films (It does not even include the one's done outside of the communication department which are plentiful in my favorites.)
