Gonna have fun with Butterfly chickys this Christmastime... should be yummy for our gathering... worth sharing this info methinks.. tidy preparation of a messy business!!!
Excellent vid. Helped me out for my first split chicken on the big green egg. I cooked mine in a pan with rosemary and orange quarters. Cooked up a treat. Thanks again
Heck yeah, was getting ready to do some beer can chicken on the smoker the other night and remembered seeing this video. Decided to give it a try. I have to say, this is the new way I'm doing whole chicken on the grill. Came out awesome. Great video, thanks!
So I was driving down the freeway the other weekend, and this massive deer jumped out in front of me. How the fuck I missed it with my truck I dont know. I had to go to the autorepair garage the next day to make sure that I hadnt done any damage to my front chasis. It was rad.
the whole point of a spatchcock is to debone it from t einside out so you can re fold it and cook it , as soon as you cut it in half you cant call it a spatchcock

Have just had a reply from a friend in Washington State that,
'Many times I have paid good money to have this done and it is so easy to do, once you watch someone do it.' Someone, somewhere near the Snake River, WA, loves you..
A crushed clove of garlic, with handful of rosemary, under each breast skin...which must be removed after cooking..
Thanks for posting this. I had read instructions on how to do this but couldn't quite picture the whole removing the cartilage part. I'm going to try to spatchcock our turkey this year. Hope it works.
U are a legend as i needed to do this for my BBQ Portuguese chicken recipe,Just squeeze a whole lemon, teaspoon of oregano, sweet paprika,a pinch of cayenne pepper, some fresh minced garlic, and some nando;s hot sauce,in a bowel with a good slurp of olive oil,or grape seed oil and marinate over night. BBQ on indirect heat till cooked, you will love this i swear.
Pretty super. This is a fine example as to why the Internet is such a fine place to learn things -- real people with practical skills willing to teach others. Thanks!
YOU ROCK!!!! The Publix and Kroger butchers in the fancy country club town of "Suwanee" Georgia don't have a clue how to do this. Go figure! Thanks a million!
Bamaquer, thank you so much for making this video. Non-nonsense, nothing fancy, complicated, or calling for a background in butchery. You're the best. :)
