  • OMG!!! I was looking for this song soooo long, for years... didn't know who is singing!

I just remember that this song was on a mix tape that me and my brother who past away in '99 were listening every evening before bed. It was mid of the 90's and I was a kid...

This is so emotional. Great song.

  • Great son shite video!!

  • Joachim sendte meg hit!

  • Steinar Sagen sendte meg hit!

  • thanks for the song*****

  • "Remember me? I'm the one who has your baby's eyes."

    "Yeah, I remember you."

    *trollface* "problem?"

  • This has less lyrics, less story, and less instruments than modern day pop (justin bieber, etc..)

But still has a way better feel to it and is great to listen to time and time again... even after all this time

  • @cleeeevers - Quality over quantity for sure :)

  • 1997... its not that long ago is it??? yet already looking so dated. doesnt sound dated though. or does it? its good either way.

  • I love all the onomatopoeic comments for the chorus

  • The scariest thing about this is how much it has dated. It seems like only last week that this was being played in all the clubs.

  • walk off the earth sent me here lol

  • I used to think it went "I'm the whore who had your baby" : )

  • Loved this song back in the day, really weird how someone decided to connect back with me its re-release for a short time in early 20's

  • Yesterday,in a bar i listened "Marlena Shaw - Woman Of The Ghetto - (1969)" - thanx to shazam - and this soul tune remember me the Blueboy Hit.

  • @7th75thCallaghan Luckily I remembered the title of the song, so took a grand total of 10 seconds :) Had forgotten it was BlueBoy though :) Damn, this takes me back to the early 90s..

  • I heard this song years ago whilst on holiday and could never find it because I thought the lyrics were 'Remember me, and the world who had me.'

    Fail.

  • @Bluedragon111 but even if you typed that in- the name of the song is 'remember me' it can't have taken that long

  • Still sick after all these years! This is pure class......

  • Pure classic!

  • Why every time they remove a song coz of a violation of copyright they replace it with a Official version with 50% volume reduction..

    Utter useless and stupid.

  • This song used to meditate my young soul into a trance of awe :-D solely for the chick in the green dress! At 13 I fell in love with women and there sexiness...She's still fine today! Definate smash fellas!!

  • What are the lyrics then?? I'm far too lazy to look them up..

  • @organicate "Remember me I'm the one who had your babies". Soul singer, Marlena Shaw, sample from back in the 60's talking about Black maids getting little pay in America for raising white babies.

  • I just nostalgia'd all over my flat.

  • Those were the times of true music ...

  • Ahh.. memories. Really good memories:)

  • fantastic & excellent :)

  • @Gilz84 lol, excellent ! ;-)

  • @Gilz84 hahahaha so true

  • @Gilz84

    lol!!!

  • @Gilz84 It would be a lot better if those were the lyrics. Definitely dodgy fashion. It almost looks like this could be a lost C&C Music Factory video back in 1990. It looks more like 1990 and not 97, when this came out. Thank God it doesn't sound like C&C Music Factory.

  • @Gilz84 Hahaha!

  • @loutjuh76 TRIPHOPRNBLIFE

  • @Gilz84 lol same here, makes more sense that way..

  • I Need a Dollar, Dollar, a Dollar is all I Need!

  • @nilsifrabyn Try 'The Wiseguys - Executive Suite' One of the most underrated albums of the 90's. Great down tempo hip-hop that used great samples before other more famous examples.

  • @fatalfives dude you hit the nail on the head, this is the first time ive heard the wiseguys and underrated too true man, havnt heard any noise about these guys and the last years ive been digging deep into the genre that is the wiseguys, thank god for the internet!

  • horny ;)

  • "Remember me? I'm the one who had your babies", it is about black maids raising white children in America. The sample is from Marlena Shaw - Woman of the Ghetto, a 1969 soul song.

  • @vauxascoupe

Thank you. Cant belive what a ripoff this is!! Marlena Shaw should have been a rich woman now.

  • The only decent track on the jukebox at the ol' local in Bristol...

    Nice memories!

  • I'm the whore who had your baby, yes I

  • And can't it be "I'm the whore who had your baby, that's all"? Then she wants him to remember her, because for him she's only that whore with it's baby.

  • remember me i'm the one who had your baby's eyes

  • She definitely sings, I'm the whore who had your baby. I love how they somehow got away with that in the 90s.

  • @openbath Ha ha haha god, you are so right, i actually never paid attention to the lyrics and i believe most of people that listened to this song never noticed XD, cooooool
