OMG!!! I was looking for this song soooo long, for years... didn't know who is singing!
I just remember that this song was on a mix tape that me and my brother who past away in '99 were listening every evening before bed. It was mid of the 90's and I was a kid...
I thought this was a fatboy slim track for years and always wondered why I couldn't find it, I listened to every single track of the discography including the remixes and still couldn't find it...now I know, NOW I KNOW...what am I going to do with my time now I've found it
I remember my sister told me she was trying to search this song on youtube because she couldn't remember the name, and she put "geng geng geng geng geng geng " etc LOL it was so funny ;)
@7th75thCallaghan Luckily I remembered the title of the song, so took a grand total of 10 seconds :) Had forgotten it was BlueBoy though :) Damn, this takes me back to the early 90s..
This song used to meditate my young soul into a trance of awe :-D solely for the chick in the green dress! At 13 I fell in love with women and there sexiness...She's still fine today! Definate smash fellas!!
@organicate "Remember me I'm the one who had your babies". Soul singer, Marlena Shaw, sample from back in the 60's talking about Black maids getting little pay in America for raising white babies.
Sean Ryder is in this video at 1:11 and 1:30, and a couple more times;) This is a true 1990's classic, wonderful song, loved it then and loved it now:)I had an outfit like the girl in the leopard-print, I had the same hairdo too lol!!! Soooooooo long ago, when I was young and beautiful :)
@Gilz84 It would be a lot better if those were the lyrics. Definitely dodgy fashion. It almost looks like this could be a lost C&C Music Factory video back in 1990. It looks more like 1990 and not 97, when this came out. Thank God it doesn't sound like C&C Music Factory.
I still remember when that song programmed in Wfm 96.9 in Mexico City ... I think it was that distant year of 1998. Great song greetings from Mexico DF
@nilsifrabyn Try 'The Wiseguys - Executive Suite' One of the most underrated albums of the 90's. Great down tempo hip-hop that used great samples before other more famous examples.
@fatalfives dude you hit the nail on the head, this is the first time ive heard the wiseguys and underrated too true man, havnt heard any noise about these guys and the last years ive been digging deep into the genre that is the wiseguys, thank god for the internet!
I remember this song, been thinking for the past few months who it was by!..As a person who grew up in the 90's id definitely prefer to be back there, music these days is absolute rubbish, what ever happened to the good music like this?
"Remember me? I'm the one who had your babies", it is about black maids raising white children in America. The sample is from Marlena Shaw - Woman of the Ghetto, a 1969 soul song.
And can't it be "I'm the whore who had your baby, that's all"? Then she wants him to remember her, because for him she's only that whore with it's baby.
@openbath Ha ha haha god, you are so right, i actually never paid attention to the lyrics and i believe most of people that listened to this song never noticed XD, cooooool

This has less lyrics, less story, and less instruments than modern day pop (justin bieber, etc..)
But still has a way better feel to it and is great to listen to time and time again... even after all this time
