  • wel, old it is indeed, although it has had a large update when episode 2 HL2 was released, but still is it old indeed. although i don't agree with awkward. Hammer is pretty simular to a lot of other editors like the GTKRadiant for instance.

  • good work with the hammer editor; its a hard work to create levels and i think they should update the editor next time because its quiet old and awkward.

  • Thanks Duruk, for your comment.

Hammer is already quit old, back in those days it was very commen to use a lot of brushes (building blocks), but as we both know are modern games more and more build out of models and entities. What does look often much more realistic. Still, i always LOVE to map with brushes. But, models are more realistic. Am also interested in what i could do with the Cryengine, and that voxel tool, when i have finished with this mod i will start with the cryengine..

  • Nice to see Hammer in action. If I may compare it to Cryengine2 (3 isnt out yet) Then the bsp options are better in Hammer then in CE2. So things like creating the bridge are harder to create with solid tool in CE2 . On the other hand creating a cave is done with voxel tool in CE2 which sort of like a scuptling tool. Can't wait to see what you can do with it.
