As for the "chick" she was probably the first acknowledged woman guitarist. “The Duchess”, born Norma-Jean Wofford and played with Bo Diddley and his band from 1962-1966.Bo was very attached to her and her family that he told everyone that she was his sister!
The first minute solo of the distortion-like electric guitar is AMAZING... And if you think that THIS play was done 50 years ago.... This man gave a whole new meaning in the word "BLUES"! RESPECT! :-)
@teeze65 I think the "Billy-Bo" model is a little different, it´s a Billy Gibbons-Bo Diddley collaboration... but back in the 60s Billy Gibbons was just growing his beard and learning from the great Bo Diddley.
Oh... Bo! I love it. It has this certain taste of the bizarre. It´s this chick beside him, but it´s also these dancers in the background as if blues was the stuff for mainstream entertainment. I would pay double price to see something like that on TV these days.
This is Rock n Roll at it's best! BD was what you would call............really good!
