Very nice of you to say so. The video was produced for a prayer get-together of the Patrician Brothers and the second half of the video is attempting to reflect the main ministries the Brothers are involved in: education, health, and chaplaincy.
Beautiful music. J'en ai les frins aussi! Go raibh maith agat, Shaun Davey for the music, Rita Connolly for the singing and St Patrick for the prayer, not to mention my dear frioend Anne for drawing my attention to it!
The singer is Rita Connolly. Beautifully sung. The best I have heard and I have heard quite a few others. She was born in Dublin. You will find her on YouTube.
Well, let us thank whomever wrote the prayer; thank Shaun Davey for the way his music complements the message so wonderfully well; and thank God for giving people such wonderful gifts.
My French is not much good, not good at all really, but I am glad the video moves you, that's probably the Holy Spirit in you and not a cold coming on. The computer translates that as: Mon français n'est pas beaucoup de bon, pas de bonnes à tous les vraiment, mais je suis heureux que le vidéo vous déplace, c'est probablement l'Esprit Saint de vous et pas un froid venant sur. God bless.
The music used here for "The Deers Cry" comes from the CD "The Pilgrim" composed by Shaun Davey, Tara Music Company Ltd., 1994. The whole CD goes for 73 minutes. Enjoy!
Yes, the prayer does seem very popular with people. It is said daily in our Patrician Brothers schools here in Sydney. I think we just like knowing that our God is wonderful and is with us in our lives.
I love your new version of this video. I used the original for a powerpoint presentation for a class on Celtic Spirituality as the closing prayer. The new version is even more powerful. What an impact! I'm going to use this one for a class on the Images of God. Well done. This song is fantastic.
This is my favourite version of the Breastplate of St. Patrick and your video is perfect :)

One of my favorite prayers, beautifully illustrated...and just perfect to share on St. Patrick's Day. Thank you! I also love the 'Pilgrim'...

Thanks for the feedback. You should listen to the whole "Pilgrim" CD if you like things Celtic.
