Hi, Quick question what set up do you use to video tape your procedures. I am a periodontist in Beverly Hills and want to record some procedures for educating my referrals.
@Drmilesmadison I have a global microscope with a beam splitter attached to a sony camcorder and record on DV tapes that I get in bulk online. You can get all kinds of new cameras now that have cards for recording but I like the tapes because each case has it's own tape and then I don't have a card with a bunch of stuff mixed up together. The YouTube videos are great educational shorts for referrals. I send them links all the time. call me 510 547-1300
Excellent job. Aestethically, impressive improvement. It'd be nice to see the evolution further in time, like a couple of years after surgery. And it'd be good to know what is the cost of this kind of surgery.
I must say this is really disgusting and now I even hate more dentists but you did a really greate job I mean, looks way better than before.. anyway, next month Im going to get my "Wisdom teeth" not sure if they are called like that off and Im going to get a full Anesthesia, does it hurt? after they took them of does it stil hurts for long time? thx and nice vid!
@maxendenia if they let you premed with Aleve x 2 and stay on it every 6-8hrs. If not, as well consider Traumeel pills. Plan on lots of swelling (normal) and stay hydrated.
@maxendenia Im 15 i got mine out a while ago, they had to go into my gums pretty far to get the tooth out. its fun when you wake up cause your super high off the anesthesia, etc. after you come out of that it hurts like a bitch. my pain pills were about 2-3X as strong as vicodin and it still hurt like hell. also the stitches made you want to pull your damn teeth out. good luck :D
how tiem do expect this treatment can last? did this material stay in place for long or seems to be non permanent? where can I buy tnis kind of material? is it expensive
Does the is technique/ product work with small exposed areas of dental implant abutments ? I have an area that needs some patching due to post operative condition that required some cleaning to eliminate any infection. I have had 3 operations over a year to smooth out the gum area so it looks natural, but there is still a gap between gum line and crown exposing the abutment.
No, I had beautiful crowns and implants, but had a problem with a post completion infection that caused some disfigured gum tissue. I think that you are confusing me with somone else.
I put patients on azithromycin 250mg x 6, start with 2 the day of surgery the one each day until gone. I try NOT to leave any AlloDerm exposed. We routinely use perio pack and if there is a margin exposed we leave it on or trim the AlloDerm or both.
the patient will be back to square one if he doesn't floss properly and brush properly. all the money spend on surgery, why don't people just take care of their gum and teeth in the first place, it would have save him thousands of dollars.
are you a dentist... cuz i haz a question :)

@21753117 this surgery cost our patient around $2500. I have not seen the patient back for years so I would assume that things are stable.

@martincho4334 look up AlloDerm online and see if you can buy in Argentina. This is a collagen IMPLANT that does not resorb.

Possibly but it is very hard to tell without seeing the individual situation.
perieau 2 years ago
Did you accept the crown like this? I had a dentist try to give me an implant crown like that and I went somewhere else!

What exactly is that black stuff you called 'composite'?
kristiantpq 2 years ago
The composite restoration over the black root is a plastic/glass restorative material. The "black stuff" is the stained root of the tooth.

This problem had nothing to do with the patient's flossing.... It was a poor job of handing the restoration by her former dentist.

is the flap full or partial thickness?
