Global nuclear disarmament doesn't go far enough. The START treaty is the west subsidies the Russians to dismantle their weapons. The thing is they then get the Pu. The idea of making more nukes is silly.The purpose of START is to stop the useless arms race. The US is afloat in Plutonium, Obama decided they will not burry half of it as was intended. They might want to spend money on defensive missiles. Those are useless and proven so. So they might just. There was a treaty on that for the same purpose but behold loophole. Eastern Europe.

Global nuclear disarmament doesn't go far enough. I say nations engage in a concerted effort to mine ALL nuclear materials on the planet (plutonium, uranium, anything that ends in -ium) then launch it all (along with all nuclear weapons already built) straight into the Sun. We won't have nuclear power anymore, but I'd rather live in that world than one where warmongers, terrorists or psychos can destroy everything that ever was and will be at the push of a button.
