yes, lots, many people reported hearing a "sonic boom" sound, a VERY loud sound. I don't know about any explosions though, people also heard "muffled booms" not as loud, and also, vibrations.

I don't know but i think they said there have been 60 meteors that have hit Canada, 14 of em in Alberta. Although, there is thepossibility it's "space junk" idk what that is but it was on the news earlier.
