Fords all have built in speed limiters, at least thats what they say. But the speed limit must be pretty high when I could burry the needle at 120 in an Escort station wagon. Im afraid to see what my Manual 96 Ranger can do. Im also afraid of a 135 mph speeding ticket....

i've got the argentinian version of the FORD RANGER... it's a Turbo Diesel 2.8 and it goes up to 170 kph but i'm afraid to keep going!!! it has an international motor, and an Eaton gearbox... i live in Guatemala, and going 170 is quite dangerous

did 120 in a standard 95 ranger xlt 4.0... good times.
PS: they jump pretty well. 10 feet up is my best. not sure how far tho. seatbelt was broken so it knocked the s**t outa me.

its called a governor and it stops the engine at 120, you can replace it with a racing chip for like $100-200

when the engine is new easily can go to 170km/h...now the engine quite old...hard to reach 160km/h now...

My 02 Ranger (4.0L V6, manual) is limited at 90 mph. Boo. There's plenty of power.
I do know for a fact the Focus ZX4 can do 90 no prob.

What size engine is this? My 3.0 ford ranger std has the top speed limiter at 100 so it kinda sucks but imma remove it soon.
