"Morphine under lock and key" - heh, it is obvious that soldiers are looking for something to override the fear and/or guilt in war these days, self righteous chemical inflictions. Maybe they can stop the "enemy" by stopping themselves first.
When I first heard this song I thought it was a modern day equivalent to Redgum's "I was only 19". And then funnily enough these guys went on to cover said song and pulled it off brilliantly. My spine tingles every time I hear either of these songs. Love their work.
@Kiphillphil, have you been in combat wanker? even worse, in a foreign country fighting for another country and dieing alone with no friends or family near you?
@startwiththeballs yes i have, i served along side american troops while i was in the british army, we also delt with a lot of australian and multinational private secruity. In the boredom of war i mean the long periods of waiting in between getting iraqi mortor shells blowing up our camp, iranian machine fire peppering our FOB, or the IED's out side british ww1 memorials. Sure iv been in combat.
@startwiththeballs You really don't know what war is, do you? It's not 'glorious'. Ask any soldier who has seen real combat... in fact, one just told you what it was like, and you didn't believe him.
@startwiththeballs why dont you jerk off to some G.I Joe dolls, your comments an't welcome here. 'call of duty' dont count as being in the army, a real solider wouldnt talk to another that way! your putting the defense force in to disrepute
@jarridtstube, not all soldiers are brothers in arms, how do soldiers talk to each other? a soldier is trained to kill other soldiers. l only have respect for the enemy because he helps me to get the best out of mysely through training, l see anyone who doesnt wear the same dpm as me as the enemy. at this stage im not in the DF so what do l give a fuck if l put it in disrepute? peace out

Okay okay, I'll be Mr Cunt...
It is not "heavy".... FUCK NO.
...
Nice song guys (and uploader), it points out devastatingly obvious problems.
but it lacks a solution to the problem.
I might point you in the practical application of "zeitgeist"
