"Losing light" Frankly, most binos look good under perfect conditions. The key is to make them with sufficient exit pupil and clarity to be good in the woods or the rain.
i know, ... my drivers license has my P.O. Box as the address instead of a physical address and they made a really big deal out of it. i had to go to the DMV and get a special form printed out and fax it to them... i was buying a shotgun for goodness sake. i was in the DMV for 2 hours trying to get the paper! and thats after i drove to a smaller town in the valley so that the line would by smaller.
know the feeling, my first 2 times taking the drivers test I set up an appointment and when I got there I was not in the system, long story short had to wait 3 hours to take the test, even at that during the test they are not very clear what they want, then they bitch about it at the end.
Awesome vid - love the Monarchs, especially in the real tree camo. Has anyone out there compared the 10x42 Monarchs with 10x42 Vortex Vipers? I've heard good things about the Vipers but would love to hear any opinions on how they stack up against the Monarchs.
I really like the videos; they're interesting and very informative. But . . . they could be compacted a bit. Your complete binocular review is almost an hour long! Not to mention the almost 2-minute establishing shot that has absolutely nothing to do with binoculars!
I loved seeing SF Bay again - I grew up in the area. But leave the interminable tracking shots to Sam Peckinpah.
very light, very high Quality and ultralight.(only 6x or 8x model). not too expensive. They served me for years now from the tundra to the desert or on sea:great opticals.
I just got an email today thanking me for registering my Nikon Monarch Binos' warranty. I didn't buy any, my pops bought me a pair for Christmas... and used my email address. Don't tell him I know they're coming... haha

Nutn, do you still stand by everything you said about these binos? Have you upgraded to any other kinds or do you still roll with these? thanks.

Make sure the prisms do not stop down the objectives. A counter-weight hung on the back of the strap will keep it off your neck.
Objective / magnification = exit pupil. Around 6mm is ideal for best brightness. 7mm on average is as wide as a young person's pupils will open.
