Actually there were 12 disciples: Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (different one from the other stated above), Thaddeus, Simon, Judas. The reason for only four gospels is because the canon of the authorship of some of the books the other apostles wrote were questionable. Why is it not possible for it to be GOds unfiltered word? The irony here is that these people who made the commercial know they are wrong; you can tell in that they used a man and a woman instead of two women. They have to be subversive with their advertising in that they know the perversion they are causing.

I never said that the Pope was God. And yes, i believe that there is every chance God does not exist, based only on the fact that we know it through the word of human mouth. My only thing is that, we have our own opinions, including the Pope. He is only human, after all. I will not make any claims about God, outside of hoping he is good. I really don't know why there is a hell or evil, but I know that we all want, for the most part, the same thing: to be happy. This case is no different.

Actually there were 12 disciples: Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James (different one from the other stated above), Thaddeus, Simon, Judas. The reason for only four gospels is because the canon of the authorship of some of the books the other apostles wrote were questionable. Why is it not possible for it to be GOds unfiltered word? Because to my knowledge God was/is/and always will be able to do great things. The Bible is the Word of God so the Bible is God.

Looking at this commercial, it gives me sympathy to the struggle of all the gays and lesbians that want to marry. But, for those supporters of gay marriages who are wondering why gay and lesbian couples are being judged, and giving those who voted yes on proposition 8 a hard time; must be hypocrites to there own belief if they, themselves, are judging the people who did vote yes on proposition 8. even if homosexuality was without a doubt, completely wrong by all religions (I personally don't think it's wrong), we have separation of church and state. I'm not judging people who don't agree with homosexuality, I don't agree with them but I think they have a right to their beliefs... Ever heard of seperation of church and state? You have your beliefs and thats fine. I don't tell people what religion to believe and I don't tell people who they can love. And being from southern California I know that many gays who have married. seing as at the moment it is legal. Remember when women couldn't vote? One small step. So go on and pretend that we're the problem. You can believe god has the final say. I do. So just accept and love everyone. Isn't that what god teaches?

I believe in Buddha. Buddha is not.. your god, and according to your god, if people believe in other higher powers, then we should be killed or whatnot. Considering that India and China cover 2/3 of the world populace, and they too believe in Buddha (for the most part), would you say that 2B people must die, so that your kind has a right to marry? God does not have the final say, because to everyone, God is not the ultimate voice.

This commercial is beautiful and so is love. Why deny marriage to two people who love each other? People can't help who they fall in love with so why are they judged on what lies in their heart? Find love in your life and stand in someone else's shoes for a minute. I am straight and I have been in love with the same person for four years. I want to marry that person someday because I love them, so what gives me the right to tell two other people who are in love that they cannot marry.

being gay is not a choice you ignorant fucks. theres many gay people who commit suicide because they wish they were straight but simply cannot. it is not a persons choice to be straight, it is the way they are and theres nothing they or you can do about it.

It IS wise and just to support it. But I think we all know those homophobes out there (Who we all know are still in the closet and too afraid to come out, and they have to hate those with the courage cause they really hate themselves and their own cowardice) will never shut up and just be civil.

The problem is that some people are too ignorant to think outside of the box. What if someday all you closet freaks came out of your closet and we suddenly were the majority and you were the minority, what if we restricted the amount of heterosexual marriage that was allowed... then how would you look at the ad instead?
besides, someone has to adopt you mistakes, heterosexuals would rather make their own child, and many aren't responsible enough to keep their mistakes, shadowmastered got lucky
