The biggest threat to government is OUR generation, they love it that we don't vote becuase then things stay the same. If your 18-29 I want to see you at the polls. Shock the world with your voter turn out. This is OUR future too:)
This is so strange to watch. You'd almost thing these people were all bribed or blackmailed. How could even the staunchest Republicrat vote down their own people? I smell something fishy in Denmark.
@CastAway421 You didn't pass your American history class did you? I think it's safe to assume you didn't know that Republicans aren't Nazis. Just because they don't support unions, most importantly the teacher's union. The teacher's union cares more about having every teacher get paid then giving a quality education to our youth.
I got no problem with the union fatcats ringing the last few dollars outta their hustle, but lets be honest. They're finished. When Unions moved from workers rights to workers responsibilities, they doomed themselves. Its gonna be a hard sell to get the common man who cant pay his heating bill to jump on the bandwagon and save these people extremely generous pay packages.
Collective bargaining is not a right, it is a privilege. 96% of American workers do not have this privilege. This video should be titled "these of some of the GOP Senators who just voted to take union workers collective bargaining privileges". The truth is always refreshing.
So many decades of hard work wiped away. It really seems like they purposely rushed to get rid of union power, knowing that it's far easier to remove rights than it is to gain them.
I can't believe that the GOP did this. They clearly hate America and democracy. But if it does make anyone feel better, the GOP will hand Wisconsin over to the Democrats and that Union Busting Bill will be repealed really quickly, and the GOP will probably lose in virtually all places.
@FishnChips65 Given the choice between Turning the state so blue the sky seems gray by comparison and knowing that public unions are protected and respected, I'd have preffered the latter.
Recall, impeach, attend every town hall meeting. We won't forget now or in any of the upcoming elections. JoAnne Kloppenburg for Wisconsin Supreme Court - Prosser will be a rubber stamp.
You can see the shame and disgust on so many of those republican voters some with a smug grin. I'm thoroughly repulsed by the actions of the GOP. They literally held the state hostage with their lack of compromise. Hey compromise, isn't that the point of democracy?
@maribear18 Well I'm politically astute and work in a law firm, but I can't see how democrats could've avoided it. At least, by their absence, they were able to force the GOP to remove the no bid sales of power plants provision so the Koche brothers didn't get EVERYTHING they wanted... but as for stopping the bill from being passed, when Republicans have a clear majority... there was nothing could be done. The democrats aren't to blame... the GOP are, and the people who voted them in to power

@FishnChips65 "Really quickly" as in they will repeal the bill as one of the first things done after elections in 2012.

@gaddez Yeah, as long as Unions are in good hands, then I feel relieved, sadly, in the Wisconsin case, they aren't, so I am very angry.

It used to be that elected officials listened to the people. Now they just give them a "Fuck you, I do what I want", like they are Eric Cartman.
