John and the rest of the Spartans were about to take the Pillar of Autumn behind enemy lines. Just before they made the jump however, the Covenant attacked Reach, and John split the force into two teams; Red team and Blue team. Blue team consisted of John, James, and Linda.

THE ONLY THING I dont get is how spartan IIIs are the main characters in this story.... The Book Ghosts Of Onyx never says that Spartan IIIs were sent to Reach.. Maybe Im overlooking something... Well lets put it this way.The reason for the week is because after Reach was destroyed the Pillar of Autumn went into slipspace following coordinates that Chief had discovered that accidentally lead to the discovery of Halo.

FYI everyone, Master Chief aka 117 will not be in this game (why ? because iv read the novels/books) he is on a space station in orbit around Reach so he will proly not be in the game since he will not be on the ground, who ever you think looks like him just give it up its not him, he never was on reach under the battle of reach. Master chief was not on Reach during the actual Battle of Reach. he was on a mission with Linda and one other Spartan getting an AI in some space port above Reach. The Spartans on Reach vary from the many different teams including red Team led by Fred.
