Whether you are a women or a man, or gay or straight does not define who you are as a whole. There are gay and straight men who would not work well in the military. Believing that gay men can't work well in the military carries the assumption that the people you are attracted to defines your personality as a whole. Gay people and women are just as varied and unique as straight men. It is simply ignorant to believe otherwise.

Soldiers go through extreem conditions: stress, tension, anger, fear, all this at huge levels. That's why they are tested so much before "serving", so that nothing breaks under all this pressure. And variebles we don't know much about could interfeer with all of this.

I'm Canadian, and I've only heard of this law recently. I just don't get it. I don't see the point, I don't see why it exists, I'm just generally confused as to why anyone would ever be against having homosexuals in the military. The U.S. really needs to learn from the Canadian Constitution.

@sarajsh7 Yes, i remember the day I chose to be straight. When I heard how gross it sounded for other men to fuck each other and I decided that was not for me or the right thing to do. It doesnt sound right or look right. I had a guy at my school who tried atleast 3 different times to say he wasn't gay, after already admiting he was before + fucking his old boyfriend. That was him trying to choose to be straight. sadly to this day he is still a faggot. Being gay is a choice.
