  • Wished I was there to hear it !!! Great!

  • You would think that the banjo player would know how to play the opening correctly, let alone get the end of the song right. However to the average listener, they don't know any difference, thus most don't even notice the sloppy banjo parts. Possibly he was drinking that night?

    Dueling Banjos

    youtube.com/watch?v=1tqxzWdKKu8

Note: I could not find the original kick ass bluegrass studio version from 1972-73 on Youtube which demonstrates how it's really played.

  • @LogicStudioMadness Holy Moses, buddy. That was the most pretentious comment I've ever read.

  • @LogicStudioMadness he does know how to play it im sure, but they are messing around with that song as it clearly states in the description, and trust me on this..... rob montgomery can play. They are using the a well known song as nothing more than a starting point, they not goin for a note prefect repeat of a studio version, they are entertaing and making people laugh and dance i.e. the whole point of music.

on a lighter note, that switch at 2:50 is slick.

  • @LogicStudioMadness lighten up jerk

  • the Banjo player's part at the end was SICK!

  • frreekin love it..............

  • I didn't know rednecks knew how to use computers!

  • That's some fine pickin'. I really want to learn banjo.
