The baitfish exploded about two weeks ago......pinners and greenbacks.
I have mostly seen 22-30 inchers on average and the big dogs are still hangin around the pier. Our waters are pristine due to the fact the current is 126 miles offshore. Mega fish this year. The Tarpon are blowin up right now . Sorrry I took so long to reply.
Nicely Done! I'm fishing out of Charlotte Harbor for the next month or so. Its been a bit slow because of the weather, But the Reds and Trout are biting! The Snook not so much not yet anyway's!! Great Video!
this is almost how i like to fish, tho i do like a screaming drag. i dont dock fish much but out at the south venice jetties if you throw a live lady on and free line it your bound to hit record snook.i live for it. im currently in montana pike fishing and big game hunting but i still love my snook, have one tattooed on my arm!so yea the south venice jetties are the place for huge snook even if they arent hitting the black tip amber jacks yellow tailed jacks and jew fish are always out there too
@SnookCowboy i would take you up on that offer if i weren't in montana. this place sucks right now for fishing. im in a contest for lake trout right now, but its still too cold to catch anything, plus the water level is down like 10 feet. but i have till may so im not too worried.
where are you guys located. I need to rent a kayak in gasparilla. any refferals? Awesome. Reminds me of how they used to catch yellowfin tuna in the 50's w/ bamboo out here california. Should be some great video out there of men horsing tuna over the rail after causing a feeding frenzy. Cheers.
I don't know of any near Gasparilla. We could deliver to You if You like for a fee of course. But We can accommodate You easily. I apologize for getting to You now. Been a busy week.
We are located in Bokeelia on Pine Island.

Would love to hook up with someone and try My Rig on a Tuna. Know anyone??
You are a true pioneer! I live in Florida and have been fishing and catching snook for about 25 years but I have never seen anything like this. You make it look so easy. I wouldn't believe you if I didn't see it. Absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. I had two old salts teach me the method except they used Bamboo poles that the line would keep breaking.
I got tired of losing BIG Snook!
I invented this thing and now I hardly ever lose one:} Finally got it patented 3 years ago. I sell these if You know anyone that would be interested in getting one. Stir-sticking with a lure at the docks edge is explosive too!!!
I had to create it to get these Snook out from under the dock Pat#7089700.
150# test is forgiving on the barnacles in case the fish wraps You around them.
Shock suppression Cylinder to prevent line from snapping during hookset or if the fish pulls too hard. No More Breakoffs for the Cowboy. Do You have Snook in Brazil ??

I saw that !! I haven't reported it yet but thanks for reminding Me.
This guy on the dock has taken upon himself to save the Snook population.
People have been fishing this way for decades. I haven't killed or hurt any of the Snook that I have released with this pole.
He has a bur up his ass.

But at the pier You don't even want to chance losing him on a piling.
We stir-stick em in the Summer months.
Oh My God !!!! They get even bigger than that one.
Thanks for watching. I offer Big Fish Safaris if You're interested.
