Would you like that in English?

  • @Dzenetska

Hvale vrijedno.

  • OMG, even though I knew the song since years,it was only today ( 06/05/11 ) that I found out that speaks about the day of St.George!!! Isn't that strange???

  • it was a shame for european people all Bosnains deaths. They all closed their eyes while people were murdering each other. They just watched that war. That place was in the middle of the Europe. I cry all the time when I listen that song. Come on Europe, I do not believe anymore your standing in favor of humanity. That event is a shame for Europeans. The Ottoman Empire respected all nations and religions, Come! who ever you are! Come !

  • The Ottoman Empire respected to all Balkanians including christians, muslims, and jewish people at the same level. Peace ended when they seperated from The Ottoman Empire. Just check the history. This song makes me remember regrets of Balkanians to fight against The Ottomans. Like Middle East peace ended after The Ottoman Empire existence. We all se what is going on in the Middle East too. Western people try to bring democracy by killing innoncent people and using natural sources. Come On!

  • Ederlezi it means "Hıdrellez" in Turkish. It is an Anatolian tradition. It can be related to Islam but it is older than Islam. It's an an ancient tradition that comes from Mesopotamian and Anatolian culture.

  • bacan

  • Keri-Lynn Wilson is an incredible person.

Goran Bregovic is a complete master.

    Greetings from México!!

  • Bravo!

Goran - super!!!

  • while listening to this song I feel my slavic soul very much and regret that eastern Europe is trying so harsh to copy western culture

  • super je!!prekrasno!!Dragi moj !!!Wonderful!!!Bravo !!Very talanted!!!

  • what ederlezi means?

  • @MrEyeBlack From Wikipedia: The song got its name after Ederlezi which is a Spring festival, especially celebrated by Roma people in the Balkans (and elsewhere around the world). This holiday celebrates the return of springtime. Ederlezi is the Gypsy name for the Serbian and Bulgarian Feast of Saint George. It's celebrated on 6 May [O.S. 23 April] .

  • @kaarekjohnsen many thanks

  • @kaarekjohnsen ederlezi means hıdrellez. persian holiday for spring.

  • @MrEyeBlack means saint george

  • @MrEyeBlack It mean Hıdırellez. Its an Anatolian tradition that comes from Mesopotamian cultrure. Its not only about gypsies. In fact its not about gypsies. In Anatolia it celebrates on 5 May. People bag for smthng from God in tihs day and jump over the fire at that night. Scholars say Hıdrellez belogs to Hızır (al Khidir). You can search more about "al Khidir".

  • @MrEyeBlack Ederlezi is the gipsy name of the Sveti Georgi(St.George) day- the day that is celebrate from ortodox peoples, from Serbia,Bulgaria and from the gipsys. This song can sings in 3 languages -Gipsy,serbian and Bulgarian. Its great holyday and celebration of the name Georgi. So Ederlezi is the gypsi name for this day.Gergiovden is the bulgarian and Djurdjev dan is the serbian. But all meaning is the same :)

  • What's the main singer's name?

  • Beautiful song, Bregovič is a true master! And what a lovely smile has the middle singer =) Serbian people are very beautiful and talanted =) Lot's of love to you from Litvanija!

  • @argeHu The lovely smile belongs to a Bulgarian singer, not Serbian :)

  • What Bregovic does is not just simple music, it's pure art. This song is a extraordinary piece of art for the emotion that transmits to people. It is a perfect mixture between the instruments, voice and rhythm. You don't even have to understand the lyrics as it still touches the heart. Bravo Goran !!! Your country and people should be proud of having such a talent.

  • bregovic roules. one of the most talanted man ever

  • Vaska Jankovska, fantastic vocal.

  • Pięknie!

  • then i always cry heavily

    my most favourite song ever

    this performance is fantastic

  • Goran Bregovic is Gipsy Not Serb Not Croatian Not Bosnian he is 100% Gipsy

  • Han är från Serbien du jävla idiot.

  • Goran Bregovic is a Serbian!

  • @WhosTheBiatchNowCCCC OK, he lives in Belgrade (Beograd) now, but he was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to a Bosnian Croat father and a Bosnian Serb mother.

  • @kaarekjohnsen So he is Serbian, Croatians are Serbs Catholics, Bosnians are Serbs Muslims, and Serbs are orthodox. So he is a Serbian who was born on Serbian land. And he was born in Serbian Sarajevo correctly.

  • @WhosTheBiatchNowCCCC duplo lol

  • @kaarekjohnsen

That's right , his mother is a serbian from bosnia, but that doesnt make her bosnian...

  • @kaarekjohnsen do you know what Bosnia and Herzegovina means? Do you know who are Bosnians???? His last name is on IC - BregovIC, GrbIC, PetrovIC, StankovIC!!! so he is a Serbian - IC is on almost every Serbian last name! so he is a Serbian.

  • No noo goran Begovic never told that he is croatian, and he practise Orthodox religion,he say for himsef that he Serb...

  • @WhosTheBiatchNowCCCC

Gipsy, but yes, he is a Serb.

    Same shit.

  • @WhosTheBiatchNowCCCC Ederlezi comes from the persian turkic tradition "Hıdrellez", name coming from the prophets Hıdır-Elyassa.
