Hey, mark, i made a comment on your DA account on "Train Hard, but it doesn't seem you go there anymore, so i'm just gonna post it here. :)
Well, due to its similarities with that song, and seeing you are a musician as well, i take it you are the same Mark J. Haldey that did that Strider Dance Remix on VGMusic. Nice job with both, and that dance mix, i remember listening to 8 years ago, so neat to see you are still around on the net, especially somewhere i know i could find you. :D
So I learned this today. I consulted someone who is well versed in music theory, and he said the key of D minor would've been fine. If you wanted to assign a key, that is. Other than that, thanks for this awesome song! :D
@Ledundeadv66 I did, actually. I sent in a theme song as a piece of fanmusic, then later sent in themes to go with the other characters from Radd's game. The author liked them enough that he asked me to do the music for the final comic, which I did.
@AgentParsec Aha! I thought I saw your name in the credits somewhere! I nearly did a spit take when I saw that. Keep up the amazing work, you seem to have a knack for finding great things that you can help make better!
You are AN AMATEUR PIANIST. One day, after spending the majority of yoiur time reading HOMESTUCK, you find a composition that may possibly be within your LIMITED RANGE OF SKILL. What do you do?
>_ Humbly request sheet music to the amazing song.
You make a polite request for the ability to play some sweet tunage, whilst also complimenting the composer's skills and choice in home decor.
@Ledundeadv66 There's now a link to the sheet music in the description. It has a few notation issues (all accidentals are spelled out in the music instead of with a key signature, and there are no pedal markings), but it should be the same anyway.
Hey, nice work on Harlequin! I like a lot of the remixes of it, as well!
Since you're the one who wrote it, do you suppose you could provide a link to the Original Harlequin score, or even any of the remixes? I've been itching to work on some of these for a while, but I am not very good at working out music by ear in a timely fashion. D:
This song makes me cry. And hearing someone play it, YES<3

How long does it take to write a piece like this? It's very impressive.

The sound quality is perfect for this piece. Beautiful work.

Hey, AgentParsec. I'm just curious, but did you do any music for Kid Radd?

Sounds like the Karazhan music when played on the piano.
GlyphedArchitect 2 years ago
Wait, you're one of the actual Homestuck composers?
If so, props, man. The music is so memorable.
angrytigerP 2 years ago 8
Will you be releasing sheet music for us? Please do!
TheHolySemiColon 2 years ago
The bad quality actually makes it sound more like the version that's in Homestuck.
i.e., it makes it sound like a classic recording or similar.

Surprisingly good quality for a cellphone...although, I haven't had a cellphone with a camera for a long time, so it could just be me.
