  • oh and also car crashes with the metal bending dynamicly

  • I need to use this for level creating in my game for terrain morphing and other things.

  • wow cool

  • very very useful in snow :D

  • Snow :D

  • Looks like snow. :D

  • Holy s*** this is cool! Can you do something like this in the game engine?

  • @abobchicken probly not right now XD mabye in more powerful games

  • Just dl'd the build, but won't be able to play with it until tomorrow :(

I guess this will get put into the official thing, since the guys at Blender put up a link to the blendernation article about it (where I found out about the build). Can't friggin wait.

  • So we could paint normal maps directly? No more need for baking or high-res model? If so, it would be really awesome and I would be making normal maps way more often :)

  • @DreadKnight666 What? How does this have anything to do with normal mapping?

  • @TheFXGuy The "info" from the painting process probably gets stored in a displacement map (or stored on the fly in the memory). Would be cool if you could do something sort of similar but with the information converted directly do a normal map.

Like for example you want to add some scratches on a character... you would just paint them, simple as that. No need to make a high poly version and make into the low poly, you just sculpt/paint on the low poly version.

  • @DreadKnight666 Now I see your train of thought. Yeah, that would be cool. But I've got a feeling that it's not that simple.

    Never know, though.

  • Oh that's very cool!

  • WoW, great Miika!
