@MrJaguarsenna that's correct, but during the time they had together at McLaren, Ayrton had several gearbox failures, whereas Alain never had one. Alain was more gentle on the car. Jonh Barnard once was quoted "after every race, we opened up the gearboxes, Ayrton's was was always completely worn-out, whereas Alain's was as good as new." I tend to think that Ayrtons gearbox problems were mostly self-inflicted.
