Little Richard "My true belief about rock'n'roll--there have been alot of phrases attributed over the years is this:I believe this kind of music is demonic...alot of beats in music in today aretaken from voodoo, from the drums. If you studied music in rhythms like I have, you'll see that this is true:I believe this kind of music is driving people from Christ,it is contagious."
You actually think Little Richard is correct in saying rock n roll drives people from Christ? All music was God inspired until the devil corrupted it.
@N0TMYD3N No, not really. Tom Morton, in 1981. Then a full time musician with British Youth for Christ, wrote quite openily about the issue that not all of those who are involved in promoting, performing and organizing in the christianrock movement do so from noble motives that the CCMindustry have always try to maintain to the public and the christian audeance of having. And at times some of the performers would not even claim nor give the indecation that they were even christians to begin with
@eph112joephil your right that this music is contagious, christain metal quite literally was the first music i listened to that was christain and since then i have planted myself in a church and am now on a student leadership team at my church and it all started with oh sleeper vices like vipers you should go to their music and hate on them to
@christisking3 May I ask the type or the name of the church that you planted yourself in and became part of the student leadership in? I'm certainly not asking to be ignorant or anything but I'm asking politly merely just because I'm curries if you could just give me the website and from there I could just look it up.
Thaipusam, a self-mutilation rite of Hinduism: "A pulsating rhythm was maintained by the musicians. As the drummer kept up the primitive beat, men and teens were tortured with knives, skewers, pins, hooks and spears. Dozens of teens gyrated wildly, going through the same sensual gesticulations seen in American dances.
Suddenly one of the teens screamed. His body became stiff and he fell to the ground, writhing and kicking. One man explained, ‘We dance to this kind of music until the spirit of our god enters us.’ One teen after another screamed and was torn by convulsions under the influence of demonic powers."
such an awesome band...even better live...got to meet the singer and got him to sign my norma jean shirt and he is one of the most down to earth guys ever
This song is so fucking insanse! On the album, isn't it Beau Burchell, the lead vocals of Saosin, who sings "I swear I'll find my way back to the light,"? Cause around the time of the albums release, Norma Jean was touring with Saosin in the states, at least when they played Atlanta. And it sounds a lot like him if its not. Either way, this song is amazing and a testemate to the bands ability to develop thier musical abilities and branch out to deliver something different and utterly profound!
seen them live 3 times already one time b4 the anti mother came out one time when the anti mother was there newest album and one when there newest album i cant spell came out
Well said TimFoolio. And I love the fact that he is wearing a CONVERGE t-shirt...Deftones, Norma Jean and Converge. 3 of my most favorite bands EVER!!!!!!
JCS1Cor517 has a problem with musicians evolving. They still play hardcore stuff, but are musicians that want to continue to try new things, and I have to say their song writing skills just get better and better from one album to the next. I really do like Oh God the Aftermath, but every song is more or less the same...every album since has contained songs that have characteristics of their own; just like this beauty co written by Chino from the Deftones. Out with the old and in with the new!
@MrQuantumlotus I agree.. this tune is SICK! Love it! But we live in the era of Justin Beiber -.- .. So I'm not surprised since other motherfuckers are listening to Lady Gaga etc.. NORMA JEAN 4 EVER!!! \nn/ peace!
i phuking love this band
