An active cross-over will work with any amplifier, (including integrated amps) even a receiver. Its only a matter of having enough channel ins and outs to meet the driver count. The sound quality and power level of the amplifier chosen is another story....
@acousticdrivers I like active cross-over as much as a lot of mobile sound systems do, it allows you to have full controls of the frequency of the speakers themselves. just like what i have now, my integrated amplifier puts out some mid-low frequency in my mid-high(midrange/instrumental speaker) which destroys its
crispiness or rather should I say the tensile sound and it's not good. I need to maintain the mid frequency strong-crisp-punch so it will sound good. else it puts distortion
i kinda admit but for my high and mid i use an hi fi for the mean time but by dec i will by a samson amp for my folded horns now im still using my pa amp for my sub until i dont have the buget but if i wer you i kinda play around with the hi fi amp to get your desire sound cheers only in the Philippines we use hi fi amp for mobiles ^_^
In theory it should. The active crossover will still send only the frequency range you tell it to to each intergraded amp. It's not an ideal set-up for what you are trying to accomplish, but it should still work.
@briansredd I see, for now thats what I'm planning to do since power amplifiers are kinda expensive, (crown, QSC) I just thought of giving it a try since I can afford activecrossovers and integrated amplifiers. yes It isn't an Ideal setup. finally I can work on this as I have heared your answers. I thank you very much and really appreciate it. practice & enjoy!!
@tubejojo123 yup, I wa thinking about it since integrated amps are a bit cheap than power amps. they provide good power to speakers as well. surely i love power amps like Crown(amcron), qsc's..

Why would you choose an active cross-over?

@gabegeforce1 should work but not ideal.Just set the controls of your amps to flat.
