It seems as though science is just beginning to figure out that which God has been trying to tell us all along through the Bible. If aliens did come down and watch the news, they would be getting the same incomplete picture of life on earth that all of us are getting. We are all being fed what the mainstream media wants us to know about our reality. The truth is that there is a great deal of good on earth as well but they generally don't cover those kinds of stories, only the ones that involve our base nature. Here it is....it's a question of 'validity'... the infinite universe has declared that we should exist and we are validated by that and that alone... to attempt to find personal validity elsewhere is to assume that one does not have it already... and in trying to find it elsewhere we ruin the planet and also ourselves. Consciousnous of that which exists is of great significance indeed. But I have to say this: believing all life is just as important, or even more important, then your own life will definitely result in a feeling of emptiness. It is ethical and good for self-esteem to view yourself as special. You should not need the approval of others to live. It is an inherent right to live your life as you so desire, but as long as you refrain from making that decision for others (i.e. by using force).
I literally just finished reading the book, A New Earth by Erckhart Tolle. And THEN I sit here and within minutes. Without even consciously making an effort, I find this video! And it echos the book, and it's backed by scientist.
the different countries are like different organs , the commodities that each country produce and need to survive are just like parts of the body that need vitamins and minerals to fucntion/survive correctly, the roads and railways are like concrete veins and information pathways everything that happens on earth happens in our bodies.

I don't believe science can undertand conscousness. I think it's like trying to see one's own eye. You can't see the unseeable. Likewise you can't know the unknowable. Science works through thought, observatioin and understanding. Universal consiousness involves no thought, so to try to understand it can only lead you nowhere.
I'd like to say that I agree. I'd say, in addition to this that universal or transuniversal consciousness (if there are multiverses) uttelry transcends and utterly includes all things that arize due to compression, including thoughts. If viewed from non-dual big mind, self is just a what ever we call it that arizes in this big mind. That last one is actually a modification of the zen buddhism's states of dropped-off bodymind. You can examine your own eye by looking in a mirror. Also you can study its anatomy and how its neurophysiology interconnects with the distributed brain system. It is my view that being able to understand even a limited amount of such things helps us to understand a facet of conscious experience. I am yet to be convinced that science cannot explain consciousness in the '3rd person' perspective, or rather as a function of the brain.
Of course you can see your eye in the mirror. What I'm getting at is this. Everything in the universe is, in essence, one entity. That entity has no form and is consciousness. How can thought (form) explain consciousness (formless)? I believe consiousness can only be understood through awakening out of thought into thoughtless Nirvana/Elightenment.
All this is explained very well in Eckhart Tolle's books. The Buddha knew this thousands of years ago, as did other spiritual people. Humanity needs to wake up from the illusion of seperateness, the illusion of self. Wake up to the present moment and stop trying to get to some time in the future where you'll be happy. You'll never arrive because the ego always wants more, it's never satisfied with the present moment. If we don't we'll end up killing ourselves through the greed of material gain.

If the brain was to cease existence, you are not dead. You are not non-existent. Whatever is within the area of conscious existence is unknown for the current time. We have yet to discover what is beyond the physical world.
have you ever wondered how small something can be before it no longer has a consciousness? sometimes I can look at an insect and imagine the way it thinks. the way it experiences the world. even the tiniest living thing.
Information flows and structures become more complicated, but span (the number of holons/entities/units/creatures/beings actually becomes less and less.) becomes exponentially smaller, as there are much less multi-cellular organisms than bacteria (on the Erath and in the rest of the universe, similarly, less atoms than sub-atomic particels) Also, evolution can be like this too: energy, particles, atoms, molecules/chrystals, bacteria, eucaryotes, multi-cellular, humans, families, tribes, etc.
We cannot percieve the 4th dimmension as to the way it is mean't, due to the limited processing of our brains. However, our pure self existence - the consciousness, is not limited. The brain will percieve specific data, it will record data into a specific format of which it was mean't to read. If we enhanced the brain, we could percieve more data. However, naturally, our brains will only signal a given amount of data to our pure self existence - the consciousness.
The sub-conscious mind cannot become self-aware of itself, whilst the conscious mind can. Think of the sub-conscious mind as a computer processor. It processes specific data and stores it within a given capacity. However, the conscious mind is attached to the brain - the sub-conscious mind. It recieves data from the brain. If the brain dies, no data is being recieved from the brain, thus; no perception of the SPECIFIC functionality of the initial perception of the brain. I mean...
The consciousness becomes a part of the personality, no longer becoming self-aware of it's initial existence.

Youll recongsie when you are out of your body because you will get lots of whirling whistling sounds aroud u and feel like you are you are in a storm or something. Dont be afraid though come to recongnise this feeling, to know that you are succesful and your conciouness is out of your body. You can now travel at the speed of thought and go where ever you like. interesting, once i was lying in the bed,then i tried not to think about anything,and this strange buzz,low frequency sound came into my head.After some time,i found myself somewhere else(my mind),this was soo wierd,then i just fell asleep.I tried to do the same thing the following nights,but no luck so far.
I had an out of body experience one time. Admittedly this was a result of overdose on lsd. It was incredible (not an endorsement) but since then I have been trying to reach that state through meditation like what you describe (reaching thoughtlessness), and it works a bit, i just need to practise. yeah the low hum is a frequency change to another realm. Ive been to the shadow realm, the 5th dimemsion. And also i tested to see if i cud do it and i ended up in a slight frequency above us the astral, i even managed to move when iwas there and look out of a window i was made of light. i too have had this experience,1st the buzzing then i was floating around my old school also i had an experience where it was asif i was being shown how my mind was working,sounds weird i know but its true.
yes, i experienced the same buzz. it occurred to me that i might be able to think of a word and let it travel the length of this buzz that seemed to be going to the center of my brain. i thought of the name "benjamin franklin" and let the name travel along the buzz. it immediately produced an image of the man. i decided to try the word, "God". I felt the thought travel along the buzz. it "hit" my brain and i began to shake. i saw a blue light. i felt like i was leaving my body. i stopped it.
its ok my friend this happens to me loads. Anytime i want also, I visited a golden orb of our soul on the 5th dimension our mind can go anywhere we like. Best i find when u are half asleep half awake. Your aware of your body in the bed but ure mind is elsewhere :). Happens to my mum also we talk on it and tell each other our epxerinces. Its changed my life, its amazing and anyone can do this at will because we are all one!

This video has proven a fruitful ground for "hard science" vs. humanism. I try to be compatible with both. Yes, as a society we should seek knowledge of our true nature. But our true nature is infinite, just like the universe. So it appears as a mystery to us, and yes we should seek to unfold the mystery, but this is the fun of it all, the mystery will always be there so we can grow. I only protest "knowledge" as a materialist reduction, because this contradicts the limitlessness of things.

"Universal love" would have been better served with a large helping of truth. Love needs to be the basis of change, but if we are to change as a "universe," we would be better served with changing ourselves first - that can be accomplished, in part, by getting real and allowing truth to come into our lives, no matter how we perceive it to help or harm us. "The truth will set you free" - this freedom will allow us to do just about anything...

true but have you ever heard of Occam's razor? basically it goes something like, assume as little as possible when explaining a phenomenon. my explanation assumes less and is alot simpler. you say "By that logic our lives could just as easily be the linchpin to everything....." but that would not be just as easy, there would need to be a "how?" and a "why?" whereas saying there is no explanation does not require more explaining.

I can see where you're coming from considering that most of science has been dedicated to explaining away mind and spirit and it has succeeded to a point...how you regard the meaning of life depends greatly on whether you take a materialist standpoint in my opinion. The fact is that materialism is dying thanks to quantum physics. As for us being important in the greater scheme of things, sure we are, scientifically, by the fact that we're not separate from anything else in the universe
one day all this will be gone (the earth, us, ect). the universe will not remember that once it looked upon itself and new itself, and will go on as it always did, unaware. it will be as if we never existed. we are about as important and significant as the fleas on a dog.

oh, im sorry, i wasnt aware the big bang theory had been scientifacally proven. i have a theory of my own. there was no beggining there is no end, we are all stuck in one constant present moment that constantly changes, the matter that i am made of always has existed and always will, but it constantly changes state and when you die you are no longer aware of your existance. it will be just as it was before you were born. it is no stranger of a theory than spontaneous existence from nothing.
And are Newton's Laws scientifically proven either? No, but like the Big Bang theory they explain things better than any other theory. And I agree with you that there is no end/beginning,I didn't say the Big Bang was all there was. I also agree that we live in the NOW. I think our difference is over what the self is. You say we're "stuck" here, but really thats just from the perspective of the ego. You assume that "you" didn't exist before birth, but we can't prove it, likewise for death.
My being 'important' wasn't exactly what I meant. If you believe its random & for no reason, we could still have this unique gift in us, just waiting to evolve like our self-reflective consciousness did & for just the same 'random' reasons you gave? We are surrounded by insurmountable opportunities. There is no meaning to life, because meaning does not exist without life. Its not meaningless in the sense that it is irrelevant, but in the sense that there is nothing there to give it meaning.

If aliens did come down and watch the news, they would be getting the same incomplete picture of life on earth that all of us are getting. We are all being fed what the mainstream media wants us to know about our reality. The truth is that there is a great deal of good on earth as well but they generally don't cover those kinds of stories, only the ones that involve our base nature. Here it is....it's a question of 'validity'... the infinite universe has declared that we should exist and we are validated by that and that alone... to attempt to find personal validity elsewhere is to assume that one does not have it already... and in trying to find it elsewhere we ruin the planet and also ourselves. Unfortunately, anyone watching this probably wouldn't get too much unless they have already looked into what these people are trying to say.
In any case, there really is a revolution in consciousness that is unfolding right now. If I were to say it simply, we as humans have grown to distinguish ourselves from "nature," stirred up some amazing developments and problems because of that, and are now reaching new levels of consciousness that are both discriminatory and integrative.

But I have to say this: believing all life is just as important, or even more important, then your own life will definitely result in a feeling of emptiness. It is ethical and good for self-esteem to view yourself as special. You should not need the approval of others to live. It is an inherent right to live your life as you so desire, but as long as you refrain from making that decision for others (i.e. by using force).

I don't believe science can undertand conscousness. I think it's like trying to see one's own eye. You can't see the unseeable. Likewise you can't know the unknowable. Science works through thought, observatioin and understanding. Universal consiousness involves no thought, so to try to understand it can only lead you nowhere.

I'd like to say that I agree. I'd say, in addition to this that universal or transuniversal consciousness (if there are multiverses) uttelry transcends and utterly includes all things that arize due to compression, including thoughts. If viewed from non-dual big mind, self is just a what ever we call it that arizes in this big mind. That last one is actually a modification of the zen buddhism's states of dropped-off bodymind. You can examine your own eye by looking in a mirror. Also you can study its anatomy and how its neurophysiology interconnects with the distributed brain system. It is my view that being able to understand even a limited amount of such things helps us to understand a facet of conscious experience. I am yet to be convinced that science cannot explain consciousness in the '3rd person' perspective, or rather as a function of the brain.

Of course you can see your eye in the mirror. What I'm getting at is this. Everything in the universe is, in essence, one entity. That entity has no form and is consciousness. How can thought (form) explain consciousness (formless)? I believe consiousness can only be understood through awakening out of thought into thoughtless Nirvana/Elightenment.

All this is explained very well in Eckhart Tolle's books. The Buddha knew this thousands of years ago, as did other spiritual people. Humanity needs to wake up from the illusion of seperateness, the illusion of self. Wake up to the present moment and stop trying to get to some time in the future where you'll be happy. You'll never arrive because the ego always wants more, it's never satisfied with the present moment. If we don't we'll end up killing ourselves through the greed of material gain.

Consciousness < Brain < Body < Environmental existence.
The consciousness recieves data from the brain of which ecieves data from the body that recieves data from the environment.
If the brain was to cease existence, you are not dead. You are not non-existent. Whatever is within the area of conscious existence is unknown for the current time. We have yet to discover what is beyond the physical world.

We cannot percieve the 4th dimmension as to the way it is mean't, due to the limited processing of our brains. However, our pure self existence - the consciousness, is not limited. The brain will percieve specific data, it will record data into a specific format of which it was mean't to read. If we enhanced the brain, we could percieve more data. You see, there is no such thing as being non-existent. There are numerous cases of which describe the passing through to a second nature upon death (NDE's for instance).

However, it has everything to do with integral consciousness - one large step beyond post-modernism, two large steps beyond metaphysical materialism. Integral theory includes within itself as much as possible regarding the sum of beneficial and wise human endeavors. Ego is both a hubris as well as a limited mental construct, but we still tend to "use" it. Non-duality is truer than the ego. The ego disappears with death. Non-duality, which is synonymous with emptiness, spatiousness, lasts forever, and matter is the illusion that continually arises in a holographic fashion within it. Energy consciousness is what some like to call it. Perhaps, some people who believe in god, can equate the nondual spirit of which I speak, with god the creator, perhaps not.

I had an out of body experience one time. Admittedly this was a result of overdose on lsd. It was incredible (not an endorsement) but since then I have been trying to reach that state through meditation like what you describe (reaching thoughtlessness), and it works a bit, i just need to practise. yes, i experienced the same buzz. it occurred to me that i might be able to think of a word and let it travel the length of this buzz that seemed to be going to the center of my brain. i thought of the name "benjamin franklin" and let the name travel along the buzz. it immediately produced an image of the man. i decided to try the word, "God". I felt the thought travel along the buzz. it "hit" my brain and i began to shake. i saw a blue light. i felt like i was leaving my body. i stopped it.

yeah thats all im saing is consider it as it its fascinating to ponder, just dont take anything too seriously. i think it is a human need to have an explanation, just saying maybe the universe has no reason to satisfy our mortal desires for things to have a meaning. it will just keep on going becuase it is. but that doesnt mean we should stop researching the universe. we, the universe have a limited time to discover as much as we can about ourself, before we slip back into unawarness

This video has proven a fruitful ground for "hard science" vs. humanism. I try to be compatible with both. Yes, as a society we should seek knowledge of our true nature. But our true nature is infinite, just like the universe. So it appears as a mystery to us, and yes we should seek to unfold the mystery, but this is the fun of it all, the mystery will always be there so we can grow. I only protest "knowledge" as a materialist reduction, because this contradicts the limitlessness of things.

Upanishades say that soul is a particular consc. joined with a particular person and his brain and it lives also apart from it.once brain dies it( soul) continues to live independantly.

Separation/fragmented=relative views is the ground for miscreating intents, thoughts, actions.

"Universal love" would have been better served with a large helping of truth. Love needs to be the basis of change, but if we are to change as a "universe," we would be better served with changing ourselves first - that can be accomplished, in part, by getting real and allowing truth to come into our lives, no matter how we perceive it to help or harm us. "The truth will set you free" - this freedom will allow us to do just about anything...

true but have you ever heard of Occam's razor? basically it goes something like, assume as little as possible when explaining a phenomenon. my explanation assumes less and is alot simpler. you say "By that logic our lives could just as easily be the linchpin to everything....." but that would not be just as easy, there would need to be a "how?" and a "why?" whereas saying there is no explanation does not require more explaining.

beleive life has no meaning? ya i believe that but it isnt a bad thing to make me depressed and not get out of bed. i dont have the need to feel like i am important and have some significants in some great scheme. no purpose to being here but if you are here, now, you may aswell take advantage of it, thats how i see it

I can see where you're coming from considering that most of science has been dedicated to explaining away mind and spirit and it has succeeded to a point...how you regard the meaning of life depends greatly on whether you take a materialist standpoint in my opinion. The fact is that materialism is dying thanks to quantum physics. As for us being important in the greater scheme of things, sure we are, scientifically, by the fact that we're not separate from anything else in the universe

one day all this will be gone (the earth, us, ect). the universe will not remember that once it looked upon itself and new itself, and will go on as it always did, unaware. it will be as if we never existed. we are about as important and significant as the fleas on a dog.
what is there to suggest any different?

We exist in one big Unified Field. This is the Superstructure of the Universe, as revealed by light traced from the earliest moment of the Big Bang. At the fundamental level of existence (called the Planck scale), everything is just pure potential - it is abstract, it is information. We live in a thought universe. The universe vibrates, waves of energy pulsate through it. I've run out of space here- suffice that when you die, your individuality remains as wave function of potential, infinite.

oh, im sorry, i wasnt aware the big bang theory had been scientifacally proven. i have a theory of my own. there was no beggining there is no end, we are all stuck in one constant present moment that constantly changes, the matter that i am made of always has existed and always will, but it constantly changes state and when you die you are no longer aware of your existance. it will be just as it was before you were born. it is no stranger of a theory than spontaneous existence from nothing.

And are Newton's Laws scientifically proven either? No, but like the Big Bang theory they explain things better than any other theory. And I agree with you that there is no end/beginning,I didn't say the Big Bang was all there was. I also agree that we live in the NOW. I think our difference is over what the self is. You say we're "stuck" here, but really thats just from the perspective of the ego. You assume that "you" didn't exist before birth, but we can't prove it, likewise for death.

My being 'important' wasn't exactly what I meant. If you believe its random & for no reason, we could still have this unique gift in us, just waiting to evolve like our self-reflective consciousness did & for just the same 'random' reasons you gave? Evolution has produced matter that is conscious after all the other steps before it! Consciousness evolves into something just as it evolved from something! Maybe for matter to continue this evolutionary path will take our 'conscious' participation?

We are surrounded by insurmountable opportunities. The Universe has found a way to reason about itself, and we are experiencing that new evolutionary step, one which does not seem to have any particular singular point of importance, but to which we can give value as sentient beings, if we choose to. There is no meaning to life, because meaning does not exist without life. Its not meaningless in the sense that it is irrelevant, but in the sense that there is nothing there to give it meaning.

for a right brainer this video is nonsense.... no logic, no facts, nothing concrete is said.
