@Helga051 The net carbs should always be in the video description, which you may need to click "Show More" to see all of it. Here is the nutrition for this recipe:
! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (do a google search)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my cousin lost a ton of weight with it.
Hi Ken! This is another one of your really good recipes! I made this for breakfast this morning and it was so good! It leaves lots of leftovers too for more breakfasts. I have eaten quiches before but never liked them. The only reason I tried this, is because you said it was one of your favorites and I like your cooking. Again, thank you so much for putting on these videos! Rick
@tallbugs I agree about this recipe. The fact that I can make breakfast for a week in less than a hour simply makes this lifestyle doable. Talk about cheap breakfast too - $1.50 for sausage, 40 cents for eggs, and $1 for cream, 50 cents for vegetable = $3.40 for a week of breakfasts, and they say this way of eating is too expensive.
Great quiche! my 14 year old son just made it for dinner and it is incredible!!! thank you so much for helping make my low carb meal interesting and tasty!!
@vida130 I am glad you guys liked it. That's one of the things I like about recipes -- they have to simple to make. If it is very complicated or requires a lot of attention when cooking, I am less likely to make it. You are very welcome, and I am glad I could share it with you.
@farfooshah1 It is true that eating right is harder than eating whatever, but as for being the hardest diet, I don't think it is that hard. Most of my meals are pretty simple and less than 5 minutes to prepare. I would suggest you cook off a bunch of ground beef and chicken breasts, and that way each meal time, you just need to tweak to final stage.
But yes if you want to eat commercially prepared foods and not prepare your own routinely, this is not the diet for you.
O ok, great, well ill buy some of that at walmart tonight, and one last question on the topic: are those onions and peppers chopped or just cut? They are chopped rite?? thanks buddy.
O that looks delicious!!! I think I would like to cook one of those for sure!!! IS that one of the things that you like to have for breakfast during the week, and does it age well in the fridge over the week?? Thanks buddy
It'll keep at least a week in the fridge. Never been able to not devour before that time would expire. I would think it could frozen too, but I have not tried it.
the 'low carb vegan' link does not seem to be working on the last video. I would like to check back on that if you can fix it. You have a fabulous show. I rely on it a lot.
Those photos were lost to history when I thought the videos were unrecoverable. Most times I do try to capture the final product, but this time you have to imagine this amazing quiche. :-D
The new computer for work and some new editing software pulled this video from the dead. I think it is nearly a year old at this point. How can you fail with a recipe that includes sausage, onions, peppers, and cheese?
Hi, looks great, just wonderin, do you know what the sausage meat content is, in this country, you can go as low as 35% meat. Just so I can do a nutrition comparison. Thanks.
The dextrose is not the best ingredient, but post-Induction 1g of dextrose I am not too worried. It does not give a meat content, but given the lack of other ingredients other than water, it should be fine.
Now are you going to try this really easy recipe, and prove once again real men eat quiche? :-) Thanks for watching once again, Nick, and being such a success story!
Me too, I lost 40lbs in 3 months. Thanks to Kent! This lifestyle really does work if you stick to it and learn good recipes. I think most people who fail Atkins do so because they don't understand it, and do it wrong in the first place.
Hi..just an update..I now lost 63 pounds of being on Atkins 25 weeks. I have made alot of the recipes..with almond meal..muffins, pizza crust, etc..I find I am so used to it..its a way of life..I cant see myself eating any other way..hugs from rhode island
YUMMY!!! Thank you for making this video. I was just going to write you an e-mail and ask for new low carb recipes. Now I don't have to! I will try it next weekend! :D
Be sure to think outside the box on the ingredients for other ideas in exchange for the sausage/peppers/onions. You could make a pizza like quiche with beef, italian seasoning, and diced tomatoes or try other vegetables like broccoli. Glad you liked it!
Yes, it is an "other" vegetable, so you can have up to one cup per day. That would also reduce your salad veggies (ala peppers) amount down to two cups that day.
Thanks Kent you'll be happy to know I just found my old Atkins book..it was under a bunch of papers in my office, wasn't sure if I still had it. I'm gonna read chapter eleven now.. Thanks for always answering our questions and being so patient. Rebecca :0)
No on both. Check out my Induction Acceptable Foods video for what is allowed and what are not. The foods have to be on the Acceptable Foods List or be made exclusively of those ingredients to be allowed.
Ha, I'm the exact same way with my video, some people don't take the time enough to even write a comment, so even if a person does write "1st comment. They are helping the video get more exposure than the person who just watches and goes away. It's awesome you realize that and don't take any comments you get on your videos for granted.
I appreciate everyone who watches -- even the detractors of the diet for the most part. I want a dialogue, and if all I ever do is talk to people in the videos, I think this would get stale quickly. The more it become a two way street the happier I am, plus the critics always help me get ideas for my Misconceptions series. :-)
thank you so much Kent, i can now type up the recipe with all the carbs etc.

before I run out and buy heavy whipping cream, will 50/50 do?? thanks, your buddy Josh

Half-Half would not have the same creaminess and combine in the same fashion. I would suggest the heavy cream.

Oops that was supposed to be "halve" the eggs and cream, so 3 eggs and a half cup of cream.

You said put the quiche into the oven for 40-45 minutes, until top is slightly browned. Do you recall what temp to set the oven at?

Not sure... Here are the ingredients:
Pork, water, salt, dextrose, natural spices, natural flavorings, citric acid, BHT, propyl gallate
