Fact of the matter is, the woman is a journalist. Her job is to get information from people whether it portrays them in a positive or negative light. I'm pretty sure that Tina and Beyonce knew thats what a journalist job entails. Their job is to answer the questions to the best of their ability. If you acvcept the offer to do an interview, it can't be just one sided. That would be bias.

Beyonce didn't do well marketing the Dereon Line because she said it was a little "lower" than House of Dereon. when you market your product their are certain words you use to explain in a different way. She should have said it was more AFFORDABLE or URBAN.. but LOW just make it sound cheap and fuggly. Yeah... Personally, I'm glad Tina finally got her big break, but I doubt I'll ever buy any Dereon clothes. They're most likely made by poor kids in a third-world country, and made in the least sustainable way possible to maximize profits. I think that the press was intending to make Beyonce look "bad" even though it's her mothers line her name is attached to it. True designers who mass produce will be outted but not directly to there face especially when there in a certian City or State to promote there clothing line. Nope don't think so there are many designers that have to have there clothes sent back to the manufacture, that's called MASS PRODUCTION so there are bound to be mistakes in the fit and make of the clothes. A well known designer has a well established track record. Be it good or bad. If a collection is off they will report it, but not say it to their face. If multiple collections are off and say the Gucci Group wants to fire the designer for Yves St. Laurent (Tom Ford is gone now)they will be asked about it. Regardless of whether the interviewer was right/wrong for bringing it up, I've also heard several young ladies say that the clothes don't fit properly. They run small.

You can not scare people into "not saying negative things" to your client. It will only make them form a grudge and report nothing but negativity regarding them. The reporters and the public must like you. They are responsible for your success.

may2096 - If B wants to look good she could have just answered the question. The reporter put the info out there. They could have stopped it with a simple answer. It's better to hear the truth from the "horses mouth." She could have addressed the problem & told what they are doing to correct it. I respect your opinion but to answer the question would be admiting guilt. What were they guilty off? Tinas line is designed for larger women but if you aren't being honest about your size and you order a 10 when you need a 14 then yes the clothing isn't going to fit. Any time you mass produce a product there will always be mistakes that can't be fore seen. Would the question even have been brought up if she weren't Beyonces mom?

Beyonce didn't do well marketing the Dereon Line because she said it was a little "lower" than House of Dereon. when you market your product their are certain words you use to explain in a different way. She should have said it was more AFFORDABLE or URBAN.. but LOW just make it sound cheap and fuggly. When your a realtor selling a SMALL ass home u don't call it SMALL your supossed to call it COZY and COMFORTABLE.. I think she was having an off day, but Tina sure kept that bitch in CHECK!!!!

They're most likely made by poor kids in a third-world country, and made in the least sustainable way possible to maximize profits. The person went to school to be and likely majored in Journalism. I've yet to meet anyone that officially has a bachelors degree in "Kissing Ass"(although I do know some people that should.)

What I believe the interviewer was trying to do was address the issue and then get a comment from the Knowles about these type of negative allegations in regards to their clothing.

She simply could have said, "Yes we are aware of this issue and are working to rectify the situation...we are very happy that this was brought to our attention early on because we want our customers to be happy". I think that the press was intending to make Beyonce look "bad" even though it's her mothers line her name is attached to it. True designers who mass produce will be outted but not directly to there face especially when there in a certian City or State to promote there clothing line. Nope don't think so there are many designers that have to have there clothes sent back to the manufacture, that's called MASS PRODUCTION so there are bound to be mistakes in the fit and make of the clothes. What excatly was the point of bring up what happens in all businesses from apperal to sports gear to electronics. Poor reporting and in very unprofessional taste but handled by Tina very well.

A well known designer has a well established track record. Be it good or bad. If a collection is off they will report it, but not say it to their face. If multiple collections are off and say the Gucci Group wants to fire the designer for Yves St. Laurent (Tom Ford is gone now)they will be asked about it. Watch Fashion File or read any serious fashion reporting? I'm a huge Bey fan. Just check my page. But if she has not established herself and the clothing is sub-par that is worth noting.

It seems like everytime something goes wrong, her mom is fighting her battles. Maybe it's just the motherly instinct. I hope it's not because beyonce does not have a backbone. And the reaosn I say this is because there have been a few occasions where beyonce backed down and her mom had to step in. She is a grown woman now. It's not attitude, its called handling your business. Controlling your image and what is reported about you. If they were soft-hearted about how they handle "incidences" like that her life would be looking more like Brittney Spears instead of the controlled and poised image that she has and everything tied to her name and brand. You have to be fierce on stage and off. Protective of yourself and what is posted about you. True-can't control it all, but you can contain quite a bit.

So I guess B & Tina can handle it when everybody starts dissing them about their attitudes & clothing. Regardless if they were SUPPOSED to talk about the store in a positive light Tina should have been prepared to turn negative comments around. She could have made it positive. If she wants to look good she's gotta do it herself. There are always people who try to make others look bad.

Itz always better 2 have someone else put the interviewer in their place so other people will know not 2 say negative things 2 bey. thatz why her mom did the talking. btw, how could have beys mom made the question back positive? no really, i really want 2 kno.

No. As a PR specialist, I know that she should have addressed the problem. "We are aware of that problem. It was a production error and all the tops were corrected and replaced."
You can not scare people into "not saying negative things" to your client. It will only make them form a grudge and report nothing but negativity regarding them. The reporters and the public must like you. They are responsible for your success.

may2096 - If B wants to look good she could have just answered the question. The reporter put the info out there. They could have stopped it with a simple answer. It's better to hear the truth from the "horses mouth." She could have addressed the problem & told what they are doing to correct it. If there was no problem then Tina or Bey would have immediately said so. R U saying if U got the clothes would U not complain? If U planned to buy their clothes this wouldn't be important 4 u 2 know?

I respect your opinion but to answer the question would be admiting guilt. What were they guilty off? Tinas line is designed for larger women but if you aren't being honest about your size and you order a 10 when you need a 14 then yes the clothing isn't going to fit. Any time you mass produce a product there will always be mistakes that can't be fore seen. Would the question even have been brought up if she weren't Beyonces mom?

aubrey1015 - Good point. But if they are guilty of nothing,as in everyone makes mistakes, I think people would understand if they heard about this and know the problem is being corrected. I would understand Tina avoiding the question if she didn't know about the situation. Even you were generous to give an explanation in your comment above, so what was wrong with Tina giving one? Admitting to guilt does make one look bad but not addressing the problem is even worse.
