Shawn is a false prophet and a false teacher who is under the power and influence of Satan. It's sad that he's going down the wrong path like many people in the world out there who believe all they have to do is confess Christ and that's it, they're saved. Such false doctrine comes from Satan himself, the father of all lies.
People who are saved by "Grace" are exactly like the people who are mentioned in Eph 1:4 "According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Holy = with the Holy spirit, without blame = forgiven of sins, in love = keeping the commandments, "If you love me keep my commandments"..
Keeping the commandments are the second mile, Mormons keep them out of duty, christians do not !!
not only that but when you are born-again if you are a slave to sin and openly choose it and are not repenting and terrified by your own evil then you are certainly not born-again by any means.
We are not to sin that grace may abound. Do we hear that? Saved by grace period. If we sin in our walk, even willfully, grace saves. Does grace abound even though we may be a sinning saint? Yes.Then, why are we told not to sin that grace may abound? Because the believer will give an account of the life we lived before the judgment seat of Christ. Judgment begins first with the house of God. 1 Pet.4:17 Could be an awful experience to grow through if the believer chooses to walk our own ways.
Because when you're born again, your spirit becomes alive through the indwelling of God's spirit in your temple (YOUR BODY..not a building). Yet, your flesh still has a sin nature and those two are always warring against each other. Paul speaks of that in Galatian 5:16-18 and throughout Romans chapter 7. Please don't take my word for it. Study it yourself. I'd rather you see it yourself than to take my word for it.
You probably do all that you say these psuedo Christians are doing and that's probably how you know they are doing it. On another note the caller needs to read this.. Romans 6:1-4 1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2Certainly not!..You can search the rest. Also, not everyone is in the same point in their walk with Christ. God gradually purges people of some things while other things fall off immediately. The key is to renew your mind with his Word.
Islam...Are you kidding? Please let's not throw dirt. I will break true Islam down for you if you want to go there. I come from a family that has many Muslims and can teach you of its origins. You probably haven't been to Mecca like you're supposed to, probably eat pork or food made with pork biproducts, don't pray to the east daily 3 times a day, and probably haven't killed infadels (non muslims that don't accept islam) as is commanded in Surah 4:101
Just happened onto this video. of course, Christians don't SAY they are going to go out and party/live like hell. Heavens no! However, their actions speak louder than words 'cause they DO go out and live like hell. Get drunk, watch sexually graphic movies and TV, the women wear inappropriate, sexually provocative clothing and the husbands think it is just fine, etc... Yet these same Christians would SWEAR they are born again and love the Lord with all their heart and soul. Be honest, dude.
" What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." (Ro 6:1-4)
The grace of God can & will preserve us from sin. We can choose to reject & rebel & sin. His grace doesn't nullify our free will. If we will not abide in God's grace He can hardly abide in us. The Grace of God doesn't turn us into automitons. The very idea of apostacy, clearly stated in the Bible makes no sense if Calvinism is true.
I, for one, do not care for the teachings of John Calvin (because of the offshoot branches, based on his treachings and emphasizing a shame-based perspective, full of guilt).
But, I do see that the "apostasy" (spelled with two "s") is an invention of groups that wish to ALSO shame people: into "staying with the program".
And, "The correlated program" is largely man-made: designed to "shepherd" people into a cultural mold.
Anyone who "dares" to think outside the box is "falling away"...
@orlovna2: Everyone one has a box, which he thinks the truth. Anyone who stands outside of it is necessarily lamented. Something must be true, everybody has a vision of what that truth must be. Above-it-allism doesn't cut it w/ me.
I enjoy that in so many other churches and faiths that no one is given a calling, but that as needs come up, the congregation was informed, and told, basically, "If God calls you, or have an interest in serving, please come talk to us"....and that everything got done just as in the Mormon church, but no one was forced or pressured. She said, "I like being assigned because I'm afraid I would not volunteer if I didn't have to". Fascinating to me. I enjoy the freedom. She enjoys the duty
It just goes to show you that people who are not regenerated by the Holy Spirit simply don't get it. I didn't get it either. I thought I was a Christian until the Lord saved me.
Romans 6:1-2
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?"

Excellent point brother Shawn. I personally don't like the term Once saved always saved. I personally prefer "Once Saved, Kept Saved". 1 Pet 1"3-6
Keep 'em coming brother.
