@Mr1kyle100 - As long as you do everything right and watch your snakes it is fairly easy. Takes a bit of luck but it's definitely not impossible lol

Shows like that are an awful representation of the reptile community that only highlight the small fraction of irresponsible keepers and create a false image for our community. The vast majority of reptile keepers are kind, normal, responsible people and know what they are doing. @wishschoolwuzout - They each have flexwatt heat tape under their tubs to provide heat although they can also be successfully kept with just a warm ambient of 80-82.

@wishschoolwuzout - When properly controlled by a decent thermostat it is very effective and I personally have not ever had to replace it. If you have felxwatt you don't need a heat lamp. You can just order it prewired from reptile basics and then just use aluminum foil tape to secure it to your tub or tank. You need a thermostat with it but it works very well. Or if you have a heated room then just an ambient temp of 80-82 works as well.

@reptles - It took a while for me to convince them to get a BP. It sounds like your on the right track. Just prove that you are knowledgeable and responsible, or maybe make a compromise with them. Like if you get better grades, or do chores you could get one. After I got my first one and they saw how cool it was, it was a bit easier to get another. After that I was hooked and now I try to get what I can afford to go toward breeding.

@BallPythons9 ya i have been trying to show them how cool and how amazing they are by taking them to pet stores and holding the snakes and lizards by them and having them touch them and watch! i hope it doesnt take much longer its like driving me nuts doing all this research and then have them say no! dont get me wrong i love learning about them its just the more i learn the more i want to buy them! thank you for reply keep up the great work

@mrtyleraugust - Thanks he is one of my favorites for sure! I thought about breeding that pair, but I personally like the looks of the fire pewter better (as well as fireflies, fire cinnamons, etc.). I can always mix in vanilla in the future! Can you imagine a vanilla cream pewter!? lol

@chocolateterrain78 -Thanks, and each tub is 17.5" Wide, 33.5" Deep, and 8.25" Tall. The rack is 20" Wide, 33.5" Deep, and about 54" High (you can add levels though if you "build your own rack" on the website).

That super vanilla you have there looks really good. I'm not a big fan of the regular vanillas, but that super vanilla looks superb!!

I am going to try and breed the super vanilla and I love the vanilla creams, but it has always been a goal of mine to make a BEL so I'm not sure if I should breed fire x fire only or both males. I hope to at least make a ton of vanillas this ear and limit the number of normals I produce.
