I'm pretty new to TF2 and one thing that I still don't get is the upgrading system. Is it exp? kills of a certain kind? and do they really matter? like could i still be just as good with stock weapons?

@theswampthinker what do you mean by EXP? You mean the points that is notified on the chat? I don't quite understand what your getting at, but what I wrote is the closest thing that I assume you are talking about.

@theswampthinker You don't get experience in TF2, all the weapons you find randomly by playing. Another thing to note is that the weapons you find ARE NOT always better than the stock weapons. The stock weapons can be some of the most effective weapons in the game.

For the cp_egypt sentry spot. A spy can tele-frag you or just come up there and destroy everything.

Also, any considerations for an Advanced-Advanced guide to Sniper? I understand basics like quickscoping and headshots (Hey, they work!), but I still can't be much of a use to my team even though Sniper is my favorite class.

I mostly play 2fort, though I avoid battlement sniper wars.

Your engineer tips are really cool, mostly what I do as an engineer myself, but I rarely played egypt or barnblitz as engi, so these spots are really useful to know!

#2 Is a really.. really cheap spot :$ I've been on servers with Admin's that kick people that set up there. Wrangler destroyed Egypt :/

For some odd reason, out of all the TF2 gameplay guys out there, I find you the most entertaining, maybe because you actually give tips like this instead of ramble on about your day while TF2 footage plays and call it a "commentary." That Egypt spot appears to be really good. The only way I could think that defence could be pierced is a spy entering by teleporter. If the teleporter would be destroyed that would be an impossible defence.

Is it possible to get up to that other ledge on the same vertical level as the one on Egypt? The one you're facing at the end? Or is that blocked off by invisible falls? Cause that might not be a bad place to set up for a surprise attack.
